Have spent €146.91 to date, leaving me €143.09 or €7.15 per day to see me to the end of the month...reasonably happy that I can do that, although usually when I am happy at this stage something happens to capsize the boat, never mind rock it!

More spending for me today at MrT. Got some own brand cream cheese for tonight's tuna pasta bake. Also got whoopsied chicken breast and lamb mince for the freezer, 3 x flavoured spring water (as I'm trying to wean myself off cola), washing tabs, pots, brocolli and mussels (only 99p) plus 3 of their Italian own brand pizzas (2 x pepperoni/1 x magarita) as they are on offer for £1 each this week (something to do with a football match?!). Hope that helps someone.

    Off to update sig.

Hi everyone - glad the Flapjacks are going down well, they are a good all rounder, ideal for Lunchboxes and "grown up" enough to go with a coffee.;)

As it's been raining a lot here again today and also temperature not too good I have decided that Dinner tonight will be Sausages from the Butchers (bought 3lb last month and popped in the Freezer), mash, carrots and Spinach from the Garden - making more room in the freezer using some of the sausages and making space in the Garden using some of the Spinach - must remember to find some more inspiration for using the Spinach, so far we've had it just wilted or wilted into some spicy potatoes to go with curry - may try using some of it in a Quiche/flan for the weekend as we have friends over on Saturday and I have a Birthday tea to do on Sunday.

Pudding tonight I think will just be a cuppa and a nice slice of HM Carrot cake.;)

HFW is on at 8pm again tonight on Channel 4 - I'm getting excited already, I just love what he does.:o

    Have a good evening everyone.:D

........ plus 3 of their Italian own brand pizzas (2 x pepperoni/1 x magarita) as they are on offer for £1 each this week (something to do with a football match?!).
I spotted these in Mr T this morning too (went to spend my Mr M voucher for this week). Brought home 1 of each, DS can have his pick for tomorrow (he has to fend for himself, as DD is treating me to a pub meal for tea in return for running her - and GDs - there for a party younger GD has been invited to). The other will then go into the freezer for another day -- if he has the Pepperoni I'll probably have the other when he has curry (which I detest), if he has the other then he'll get the Pepperoni when I have Beef Stew (which he doesn't like).

My bill in Mr T came to £31.70 before the voucher was taken off, but by the time I deduct DD's shopping (all of 63p this week :rolleyes2 ), the items from my toiletries budget (razor and blades for DS as £2.50, and 2 packs of loo rolls that were 16 for the price of 12 at a total cost of £9.86) and then deduct the voucher, my spend for the GC was a meagre £13.71 :T So I'm still well on target to stay within budget this month, which I didn't think would happen due to having the vouchers - just depends on how much shopping DD wants on the next trips (hers covered the minimum spend last week, and has been at least half in weeks 1 and 2).

A fair chunk of which I did spend on food today was on "long-life" items to stockpile, which I wouldn't have bought now if I hadn't had the voucher ;) But I didn't get the vanilla ice-cream on my list - the value stuff didn't look nice, and the next one up was 41p more than the A!di stuff that we were all eating happily last week. So I've still got that to pick up when I'm next out for milk (possibly tomorrow, but hopefully not until Friday).

Evening! I spent £9.50 on some 'health foods' today, things like millet, oatbran, lentils, aduki beans etc.. Have decided to try out some of the 'you are what you eat' receipes as i brought the cook book cheaply at a book sale out of curiousity!! We'll see if i try them more than once!! will update my budget shortly!

Small spend on some milk yesterday. And couldn’t resist some more whoopsied fish & meat!

Doesn’t leave much in the budget for the last 1 ½ weeks, but I am more or less where I usually am at this point in the month. Hoping to stay out of the shops until next week now, which should be possible with what I already have in. And then just a few bits next week to get us through to the end of the month.

Just watched Hugh FW on TV. River Cottage is only about 5 miles from here and we just saw my son and daughter's school on TV making the biodiesel! V Exciting!:j

Had to buy milk yesterday so at the same time bought essentials including cling film, squash and pure juice. Now I shouldn't need to grocery shop for another week hopefully. NSD today and hope I can not spend anything until the weekend. That would be three NSD's in a row and 5 in total for the month.

Tonight for tea we had turkey escolopes (BOGOF), new potatoes from the garden and veg (not from the garden yet!) Tomorrows tea is reduced sausages (89p), mash, and baked beans!:D
