I completely agree! I've not really had to cook for myself in the summer before, and am so used to cooking big, hearty winter meals, that we mostly end up just having the same kind of thing as in winter, only later in the day when it's cooler!
So far we've had quiche and escalopes in the last couple of weeks, and then a load of winter food in between! I think I need a list of summery food?

Chilli is still a good one (or even a veg chilli)- serve with wraps or wedges and salad.
Make a pasta salad and have with warmed bread (drizzled with olive oil).
    Quiche
Cold roast chicken, potato salad, colewslaw
New tatties, cabbage and cold meat (corned beef- not tinned though).
    HM quiche/flans
Chilled soup (if you like it, I don't).
Thats a few ideas off the top of my head, might add more lol!

Just spent another £16.60 on microwave pizza & chips for the kids for tea as I've been out charity collecting for the Lions and have a headache  I knew I should have made something this morning as I usually do but I woke at 5am then went back to sleep until 10am - probably why I have the headache. I'll be cutting down and PLANNING more from now on. It's only a little slip but annoying none the less

    Thanks OrkneyStar, again!

I just did my shopping at Mr Ts - came to £42.41, but only paid £17.41 due to the Gift Card! YAY! Plus, £9.50 of that was on a birthday present, so am still on target :D

Shouldn't need to get anything except a couple of carrots and potatoes during the week.

Good luck this week everyone :) x

Been to costco - spent a fortune - but luckily not all of it was mine as DD joined us.

So £70.21:eek: to add to the months total but at least it was planned

Very large pan of tomato and mince sauce is cooking and will turn it into bol and chilli later for the freezer.

Finally have time to do a freezer stock check and calculate the expenditure last month. In May, I spent £62.27. I think I can try £65 for June. I have already spent £12.96 for this month.
