    32 years old

Freelance stage manager £95-130/day - benefits get various days off in exotic (and some not so exotic locations)

Self employed HGV driver £13/hr -benefits occasional cash tips
Few other bits and bobs we dont tell the taxman about:beer: benefits shhhhh

altogether in the region of £25-28k though take home is better than the equivalent in PAYE because I file my own tax return and can claim a good amount of deductions.

Partner is on 31k-ish and we are still struggling to get on the housing ladder in London

48 (shh) I earn money online, varies from £12-20k/year... but I am lazy and unstructured ... if I actually "worked" at it I could make that £30k... but it's always "tomorrow" :)

In the past I've earnt all manner of salaries, here are a few at random:

    Age Salary Job
    28 £15,000 Director, IT/software company
30 £6,000 Commercial Vehicle Hire Manager (Mercedes)
    34 £14,000 Serviced Office Manager
36 £18,000 Operations Manager, IT Helpdesk company
    37 £27,000 Data Analyst, IT
    38 £25,000 Project Manager, IT
    40 £50,000 Project Manager, IT
    41 £22,000 Project Manager, web/elearning
    43 £16,000 Office Manager, photography/digital library
    45 £16,000 Internet Marketing Executive

Kind of lost my way .... geography played a part in that though.

    Thats awesome :) :T

I'm a Senior Science Technician at an Independant School on £22k pro rata (as I get the school holidays off and don't get paid for them so probably about £18k). Benefits include only working school hours, free lunch (and school dinners are soooooooo much better than when I was at school). I'm 29 and did work as a Quality Analyst at a brewery until I had my son. That was a brilliant job but the money and the shifts were awful! Son is nearly 3 now and will be doing my teacher training asap :-)
;);) Better to say nothing and look a fool than to speak and remove all doubt :D:D

To clarify we're looking for places within easy shooting distance of south london but with a bit more of a rural lifestyle so surrey/sussex rather than london itself but its all still horrifically overpriced

Oooh, good luck! My parents live in Surrey, and I'd always planned to live in Surrey/West Sussex, but prices have sky-rocketed, even in places that used to be more reasonably priced...I haven't got a cat's chance in h*ll now of affording anywhere. lol.

IT security analyst till ned of july - £38k + bonus and benefits

Going back to contract so will be doing project support/business analysis £XXX per day. 12 month contract but then onrolling every 6 months after that (or till they dont want me anymore)

Reason for doing this is so i can pay of my stupid loan (hopefully within a year by saving every last damn penny) and then save deposit for a bigger house.

Then maybe go back to perm. Taken me an awful long time and hard work to get to this stage and yes live in London and work in the city
