When i read what other people are earning i feel a little better...
My wage varies as i am self employed, some times i can get as little as 1400 in my brown envelope or as much as 4500 at the end of the month.
I probably only work 9 months of a year though and generally only work 6 hours a day when i do, so there is scope for improvement.0 -

I am a director and co-owner of my own small care company, I earn £660 per month plus profit of up to £3k a month. However, the main reason for my post is about my care staff. They earn £8.25 an hour (East Midlands), the are all on guaranteed contract hours with the holiday pay, sick pay and other benefits that come with that, that most workers outside the care industry take for granted. As a good carer you do not have to put up with immoral 0 hours contracts for less than the living wage. You do not have to put up with low or no travel expenses - the current government advised rates are on the gov.co.uk website. If you are a good carer find a company that rewards you as such. You are doing one of the most important jobs in society and you deserve to be treated as such.
I will vote for any party that guarantees to OUTLAW 0 Hours contracts. Come on The Green Party!0 -
