What's the point of working, if you can get this much for sitting at home?

If I work then you can add another £38k to that so it funds house renovations and things.

Jobs Applied for today: 5 (running total this week - 10)

I think I was mis-sold the value of a degree and the positive effect it can have on your earning capacity.

    But I have hope!! :D

I'm an apprentice support worker earning £4.92ph but that goes up to £5.93 when I turn 21 in April. It's supposed to be until October but someone's pregnant and they've just built an extention so are going to need more staff so I'm hoping to be taken on permanently :)

I think it's a joke, Tilly. There is no way someone could get that kind of income from being unemployed. JobSeekers, as far as I'm aware, is no more that around £90pw max.
