  • I am a Chartered Surveyor (in investment, not quantity or building), working for a property company in central London.

I earn £38,800, of which £5,000 is a 'car allowance', although it doesn't have to be spent on a car!

Other benefits include pension, season ticket loan, subsidy for gym, medical insurance and some other random bits.

I'm 25 and generally happy with it, but I should actually be on £50k+ according to the salary bandings I've seen around the office, so still feeling a bit underpaid at the moment.
