Hi Do you still work for them, and if so was the 20hrs a week regular.
    Thanks

I did, the contract is 11 months maximum, most other countries seem to have rolling contracts based on performance.

As far as the 20hrs, it can be doable if you're willing to stay up very late (3am)

When there's an abundance of tasks 20hrs can be done in 2 days.

There was a 3 month period last year when there were no limits it was awesome.

There is a better forum, google "lionbridge moneymaker" and it's the first link, make sure to click to the last page, google sticks you at about page 58 of 240.

    Hi

I'm ideally looking for time frames. So, if you don't mind me asking, can you tell me the amount of time period between you appkling in June and for you to be asked to do the tests?

    Many Thanks

It took no time at all for me, just a few weeks from first applying to actually working for them. It's different for everybody.

Does anybody know if you still get paid if you don't manage 40 hours a month, because of lack of tasks and stuff? I emailed them but they never got back to me.

I think if the work's not there, they can't and don't expect you to do the minimum hours. When I first started it was a real struggle to get to 10 hours a week, but I had no problems with payment.

There's usually a general message up when there's plenty of work that reminds you that you HAVE to do the minimum 10 hours, so I think you can take it as read that for the rest of the time they don't expect that commitment.

I emailed them because I was going on holiday and wanted to get upto my 40 hours before I went, but there were no tasks. They said that was fine, they know when and where tasks are and no one is penalised if there are non available.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

It does state somewhere that you are not expected to do 10hrs when there are no/low tasks available.

Even when there are no (and they are always there at some time) tasks it's technically possible to do 20hrs if you fancy 4 hrs a day sleep ;)

Yes, but only if you have no other commitments and can be at your computer at most times of day or night. And if you're in that situation, how can you live on the lionbridge pay rate and only 20 hrs work a week? :)
