Never heard back from Lionbridge, but have now started receiving emails regarding 'Translation Workspace' which appears to be software to download to aid translation. Anyone else getting these emails?

They appear also to be recruiting again:

Months ago I applied then heard nothing for ages. Then I got an email for the test but only opened my email late -past the 24 hrs - so I never did bother but they have just sent me an email saying to send the test back if I still wanted too ??????

So wondering - do they let people go as quickly as they take them on?? OR, Do they just keep on getting more and more work therefore need more people??

I am also dithering due to the next bit of the test as in the time it appers to take (if I passed the first first!)

Due to the nature of the work they need fresh recruits all the time. Most people get a year with them, two if they are lucky and yes you are let go with little notice. However, I would be rushing to take that test if I were you as it is easy money and you won't find a better at home job out there.

I was with them for 23 months. Now I have to "work" for a living and it is very depressing and I have a huge hole in my bank account that Lionbridge filled!

Contracts are now less than a year standard. Unfortunately. I have been told this is due to UK employment law.

A wee question - when applying do you have to attach a CV? I didn't as the application wizard seemed to ask for all the CV info...

Hope I did the right thing! :o

I have heard this with regard to US employment law but never UK, why does it have to be less than year?

Thanks electracy, unfortunately i got an email saying the application was unsuccessful and they had too many applicants to give feedback on why. ah well, i've applied to be a medical guinea pig too that might work out!

I emailed them with my CV and everything about a week ago and not heard anything back yet. I'm wondering if they're just slow at responding or if it means I'm not successful which seems strange if they're recruiting and i fit all the criteria?!
