To anyone joining, thinking of joining, or already part of the Lionbridge "program", (say in American accent). Please do not treat this as a long term occupation. I have been reliably informed by someone who worked for them that they have a cull every few months. The fact that you have met and maintained their stringent performance requirements makes no difference. At some point you will be chopped!

    See:- http://www.moneymakergroup.com/Lionbridge-Technologies-I-t347344.html

I was dropped after about a year and a half. I recently re-applied just to see what would happen. I never heard back from them

I have just found out I passed the exams and have to wait for an email from them with all the info. But I'm a bit confused about what to do now. I have just lost my job and informed the council because I claim LHA and council benefit, and am going to the Jobcentre to start my JSA claim in 2 days. Then I was going to call the tax credit people to cancel my working tax credits because I'm not working now. So what do I do now I've got the lionbridge job? Do I carry on informing the council/tax people that I'm not earning, or do I tell them I've got a new job, or wait till I'm registered as self-employed then tell them?

What I'm thinking is not telling them about lionbridge because I need my self-employment details first, is that right?

Congrats, I just got the email this morning to say I've passed too.

No you don't need your SE details first, but you do need to have started working SE. The tax office only send out stuff once every 3 months (so they told me yesterday), so if you waited you'd be committing fraud by not telling the council. I just gave my council estimated figures.

thanks for your reply. I'll wait until I start actually working and figure out how much I'll be getting then tell the council/tax people. Won't be for a few days anyway.

    congrats to you too!

everyone who got the job: did you feel overwhelmed by all the information? i'm quite scared that i won't be able to work quickly enough, with having to refer to the guidelines all the time, even though i did quite well in the exams.

the only thing i can't find out is the time logging: does it automatically set a timer and let you know how long you've spent on a task? or do you have to time yourself?

I only just got my email with all the links to the resources today, so I haven't had time to read them yet.

I've had quick look, and it looks like you have to time yourself and enter it, then this is checked by an automatic timer.

I've registered as self-employed but I don't need to tell the council till I've actually started working, is that right? Or will they find out anyway and tell me off for not telling them even though I'm not working/earning yet?

Darn, I forgot to keep note of how many tasks I did. I noted the time I started and finished and I've logged that. Will it still be taken into account without the task count?

Is anyone having problems accessing the rater hub pages? I haven't been able to get on them for two days. I've emailed Lionbridge, but are they quick to reply?
