Hi everyone, I applied 2 weeks ago for the assesor job, no reply yet though.
Is this an ok job if I'm studying at college too? Will I have time to work and do college?
Also I'd like to know about the NI payments and do you have to be self employed?
Also if anyone in England is on Natwest, do they charge for international payments?
Thanks!!
Anyone??0 -

You have to do at least 10 hours a week and can do up to 20
You will be self employed and have to sort out your own tax and NI
I'm not with Natwest, but Halifax don't charge.0 -

I have just applied this position. Can anyone tell me how much work they get out of this if they are doing it already and if you can work more then 20 hrs per week?
Whats their current rate for UK workers and are the tests particularly difficult?
Thanks
Silentotter
No you can't work more than 20 hours. I do 20 most weeks, depends how busy I am.
I can't tell you the pay rate but I can say it is well above minimum wage.
Test are not "easy" as such, but someone with a good level of education and internet knowledge should have a good chance of passing.0 -

I'm not sure how to record my hours, I have got all my files done in about half the time of the estimates. I don't want it to seem like I rushed the job but also do not want to take the hand regarding payment for hours worked. Is it best just to be honest as I'm sure they can guess if someone's being a chancer...or is there a secret way of them knowing from the files you have worked on ??!!
They know exactly how many hours you work. If you are not honest with your time keeping you will be fired.0 -

Ok thank you
How would I go about setting up being self employed and the National Insurance payments?
I hope the test isn't too hard as this will be my first job other than a paper round as i've just started College!0 -

Everything you need to know should be on the government site http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/selfemployed/iwtregister-as-self-employed.htm. It is pretty straightforward, just keep good records of what you get paid.0 -
Hi All.
I got my pre screen test by email on Friday and they asked for them to be returned in 48 hrs. Since Friday night I have been trying to log into my candidate profile via the link they provided in their email, however everytime all I get is a message on screen saying "inernal error detected. Try again later".
Is anyone else experiencing this problem and can you suggest a way round this problem? I did send them an email informing them of the problem and that I would be able to complete the test.
Or would I be better off applying again.

It is not hard at all. Takes me a few hours a year to do my tax return, very simple and the tax people are very helpful on the phone.0 -

Thank you
Pretty straight forward for a 16 year old?
And £100 a week is less than £6k a year which means I wouldn't pay tax, but in the holidays, christmas etc I will be working 20 hours a week so I need to sort this out.
Still not had a reply, I know it takes weeks, but a member on this thread got a reply the same day!0
