Hi all, congrats to those who passed and got the job!

I have just applied but didn't attach a CV as I noted all employments and education on the form itself. Was this a bad move? Did anyone make it through to the testing level without uploading a CV?

    Thanks

Thanks, I suppose if it was mandatory they would have made it so you couldn't submit your application without uploading one. Good to know that you made it through without one :)

How's it all going for everyone? Now my nets sorted i'm getting a good few hrs a day in when my little one is napping or after her bedtime :-) I'm quite enjoying this job now and find it easy motivating myself to sit down and do the tasks, which must be a good sign!

Hi there, had an email from ICT.TEST@lionbridge.com, the Lionbridge GSS recruitment team, saying the following.

    Hi,

The Lionbridge GSS Recruitment team with Lionbridge Technologies here with a new work from home opportunity for your review. This position is for a Data Editor with the Editorial program of a global search engine and the start date is immediately.

Attached to the email is documents which they want me to sign... Code of conduct, consulting agreement, Waiver for Search and a vendor account form wich asks for my Bank details to ensure payment. The documents all seem legit but I am looking for some advice before proceeding.

Are they offering me a position ?? ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

I have had this email too and was wondering the same, especially as I failed the test to be an assessor. I am a bit concerned that one of the documents mentions that illegal material may come up on your computer while carrying out the searches  and what to do if it does.

... at 7:30am and waiting to hear back now! All the bits except, naturally, the most important one--the URL rating--were pretty easy, but I felt the instructions were a bit lacking. I hope that doesn't end up working against me, sometimes I'm too meticulous and question something that isn't exactly right, so... we'll see!

And to add my own limited experience: it did take me about a month and a half to hear from them after filling out the initial application and submitting my resume. A friend who applied also took about a month to hear back, but she was rejected, she thinks, based on a keyword scan of her resume. I don't know how hers and mine compare but my application went through the first time.

Hi I applied online for the assesor job last night. Am I right in thinking you have to be self employed for this? If not do they sort out Tax & NI payments? I do work full time already but am hoping this will fit in around my job and get me some extra cash each month.

Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning
