ok so i looked on their t and c's and its very vague and mentions nothing about when a replacement is not possible

now i emailed the support line for you just to ask and i will post back if they reply but it may take a while

in the mean while you may aswell call them yourself

to get the number go to currys website, then customer support at the top, scroll down and on the left theres a load of blue squares one of which links to whatever happens

here you will find an 0844 number which you can enter on this site
    http://www.saynoto0870.com/

and find an alternate number that will cost you the same as your normal local rate(just to save you money)
    Back by no demand whatsoever.

    it works brilliantly

i think it works by routing your call through an automated operator or something

Fianlly found a site that list almost all th efeatures of my tv, reason i couldnt find them was because apparently somr companys called it q96 and some q97 whic its widely known as.

Come across as i am swatting so i can search every spec and feature in comparison with the one i want this the site i found http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/Samsung-PS50Q97HDX/

You can now see why i am so adamant not to take a lesser tv as this was one of the best at the time and not one of those exclusive tvs only sold by some companys.

Am I right in saying you are getting £999 in vouchers?

Have you thought about a Pioneer?

We have one & its great.

£999 would go a long way towards one.

No they offered me 649.99 but the have got the features my tv have the one i would lik eis the panansonic g10 and event that doesnt some of my previous features.

649.99 to 1,100 is a lot and in store its more  i have looked at a pioneer at 2000 but thats definetly out my price range so i havent bothered checking the specs.

Going to ring whateverhappens personally and negotiate not looking forward to that as they ahte me as much as i do them

    no dont bother

and i know i thought it was odd having dixons ont there but they are indeed in store only as they require id to use

as for price, remember what i said, just forget about it and concentrate solely on specs (obvs finding the cheapest matching spec one)

i would just wait till you have the vouchers in your hands and your standing in the store

I think i will stick with going into store again, rang this morning and asked what happens if i cannot replace my tv with the same spec/features. No one knew the answer, i explained i had seen one that was a lot more expensive but still doesnt have all my specs.

Was told just going into store and if they agreed they would ring and request more vouchers

having been into two stores already on saturday the first tryed to tell me that that 2 tvs had teh pip and all other spects which was completely untrue doesnt even have pip.

The second was better and tryed to push for 900gbp tv a lcd just to put the value up i told him that the nearest i had seen was s10 and he didi try but was told to tell me to go back today.

He wasnt optimistic that they would even grant that sttaing that they was happy to increase if th eissue is scart or similar.

I know the tv i want which is near although way better in a lot of ways but still has some missing features and a missing dvi but its is a 50" as stated before and doubt they will allow that even though it hasnt got all my features.

Sorry think im just ranting lol il will find out today either way
