Rang currys telesales who told me the one they had based their valuation on and this ahsd all spec and features of my old one.
Itold them that it didnt and listed the features of mine, the ttelesales lady simply fobbed me off ansd said you need to go into store as that way i cold find out the features of teles they have and they couldnt help
So i will have to do that when i getmy vouchers i guess as if i go before they will no doubt tell me to come back when i have them.
hmmm i was afraid of that because those features are not considered important and are not listed.
and yes they will tell you to go away if you go in
i just waited then went in with my vouchers
just remember 2 forms of id i think it was
and your receipt for the old tv to prove what specs it had
oh and pack a lunch, you will be in there well over an hour whilst they call the department that approves more voucher codes
i was in there 3, i got very hungry:beer:Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Yeh i think i may be in their longer than you lol.
The lady didi say will be no problem if i need more vouchers they will dod that instore while a wait.
Ive got to know the manager their quit ewell and he didi feel guilty for not been able to help any further so maybe that will make it easier, i may able to negotaite a better deal for me. th estore has been lik ea second home the last couple weeks bet they cant wait to get rid off me i hope so anyway lol0 -

haha me too i know them all by name
one thing i will say is avoid internet only models if you can
see i got just over £600 for my wouchers and i found out why they made such a stupid undervaluation
its because in store they do not do any laptops worth over £600, and the vouchers are store only
so my laptop had to be ordered from the internet place which took a month and many many phone calls to the store and the depo
i know its a bit different but do avoid net only models

Went in store today having received my vouchers negotiated with a sales person, he offered the normal tvs i had seen. However he stated none now has picture in picture like mine, he looked further into and came up with the panasonic TX-P42S10.
I then decided to try my local store to see if they was anyting different as he didnt feel i woul deven get that, explained to sales person who rang whatverhappens by this time they said that it should be ok but would have to go back on monday as they didint issue vouchers after 4.30 an dnot on a sunday at all.
He did stat ethat they may not give it, ive looked further into this an ddiscovered its 899.99 on th enet at currys but 1,099 in shop and doesnt have surround sound which he had laready offered to negotaite on the lesser panasonic.
Lesser panasonic has only two hdmi and the other has 3 hdmi so that is another negoatatiting point however it turns out it doenst have filter bright technology or picture and picture either lik ethe first sales person had said.
I now have to wait til monday wher i hope to negotiate the panansonic and surround system unfortunately i cannot afford the 50" as it is 1399 at another it 1349.
The product support is confusing as well as with the 50" at currys its 9.99 and at pc world it is 8.99 ??? asked and no one seems to know why0 -

i wouldnt bother witth the support yet
your covered by the warranty and sales of goods act
leave it 11 months to get it
and from what i understand is that they offere you two tv's
the cheaper of which comes with surround sound but has less hdmi's whereas the other has the hdmi, not surround sound and it doesnt have PiP like you were told?
if thats the case why not negotiate further
after all you have been so adamant about it before
oh yes, make sure you go well before 5pm as well as the other department shuts thenBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Neither of the panasonics have surround sound they have nicam strereo thats it, but on the cheapest its has 2 hdmi and dearer one has 3 hdmi. I was told dearest has the light detection technology and pip but looking at it doesnt have pip and i dont think it has the light thing either.
No televisions have pip no wapparently howver on th eremote it does say ithowever it doesnt the second sales man showed me.
To be honest not sure what to go for or how hard to push for it.
Your right i have insisted so far on the features i want and have but if they dont have it what can expect to get in exchange if anything ??0 -
just looking on dixons site and its only 799.99 and the 50" is 1299 i dont get it as they are all owned by same company0

dixons are always 10%(ish) cheaper as there is no store rental costs.
and curry and pcworld track fairly closely apart from offers the do separately
as for the features, i did say much earlier how unlikely it was for you to get these things as they are merely posh names for different tech that is fast outdated and replaced.
what i think you should do is seek to gain "compensation" for the loss of these features in other areas such as size/picture quality of accessories.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
yeh im thinking the same id like the panasonic TX-P50G10 i think this as near to my spec and it is 50" as a way of replacing the features lost.
It is cheaper than the panasonic TX-P50S10 by 50.00 and i think it is a bit better than the s10. However whether they see it that way is another matter and the price on the net seem to be cheaper than in store.
But im definetly set on that, hope i wont be disappointed0 -
