Let us know what happens after the court case.

    It'd be a first time.

Out of the considerable number of MSE posts referring to an alleged wrongdoer getting his / her "just desserts" (or posters volunteering to provide that) the number of follow-up reports has so far been. . . zero.

I can't believe all these handy lads / my fellow rugby team players / my nightclub doorman bruvver / my Uncle Tony Soprano never actually do anything, so there's a breakdown of communication somewhere. . .

    ;)

Problem with that is how many of these un-savoury character's would actually admit to doing something like that though outwith their circle of friends?

I'd thought they would be wasting money going down a small claims route, especially after signing for the delivery. Very hard to prove anything now and if true who's to say who put an Argos catalogue there??

Actually, there is another aspect that I wasn't aware of...he reckons that the box looks like its been opened and resealed with different tape, so now he is wondering if there has been a fiddle along the way, but as much as I have a distrust of some delivery workers, I'm not sure that someone at DHL would have been that brazen.

If that was the case the seller would be more helpful etc. and set about claiming from Royal Mail.

As said previously burden of proof in civil court cases is lesser than criminal so it will be down to the judges opinion and one question he/she will be asking themself is why the plaintiff brought the case to court.

Has your brother informed the police. Tell him not to be fobbed off and insist that they take his complaint.

Exactly, so who would they sue??

No, I wasn't expecting the 'characters' themselves to post. They have big hands with big fingered knuckles much too large for any computer keyboard.

Also, they have few if any functioning brain cells.

What I meant was, the genteel relatives / friends of these 'characters' who are always ready to tell us how a war will begin but fall strangely silent when it comes to saying how the war ended.
