Morning everyone!
Well, it's a mixed bag here weather wise..... Sunshine and showers, with more showers than sun.
Busy day at work ahead and then it's a quick turnaround at work, as DH has got a meeting to go to this evening - so tea will be a quick freezer affair.
Best be getting on, have a busy day at work. Hope you all have a good day.0 -
good morning
raining here, just as DH has finished the new decking
we have a new garden set , table and chairs HERE arriving today from tesco direct. should have cost £119 was half price and then I doubled up my tesco vouchers and got another £30 off :j:j
Thriftlady love the recipe, managed to decipher it with my 'o' level frenchwill definitely have a go at it.
Bitsy we dont have a water meter I am very glad to say , with teen girls who are forever in the bathroom it would cost us a fortune
need to do some washing today , although I dont really want wet washing all round the house
not cooking today. I have told them all I am fed up of cleaning/ cooking all day long as I am on holiday too. so they can fend for themselves. (actually wondering if this might do more harm than good - probably end up with no food for the rest of the week)
hope everyone has a great day x0 -
Morning all,
First lot of washing in the wm, and rubbish and garden recycling has been taken out.
Plans today are to have a quick tidy round this morning, hoover, and mop, then dd and I are off to town to pick a couple of dvd'd, come home and have a film afternoon. We do like the cinema, but for the two of us its over £12 plus snacks, (although I usually take my own ) we can get a couple of films for £2 each so a huge saving :T.
My car went straight through it MOT yesterday :T, just the car tax to get before the end of the week, good job I had saved for them both.
Hilstep, good luck for your DS tomorrow, hope he passes xx
Welcome back cheapskate, have i read that right, you will have 5 children, once this new one arrives :D

Hi all. I've been MIA for a few days. We've been working on the house (the bathroom and the garden, mainly), plus doing a bit more unpacking. Suddenly summer has arrived and I didn't have any summer clothes ready.
Thriftlady - that recipe sounds lovely. I shall try it this week. Thanks for posting it.
Our dinner tonight is something with mince - more than likely bolognaise, simply because it's easy!
The weather is lovely today, sunny and warm, but it still quite cool in the evenings and early in the morning.
We still haven't got TV - we'll get round to sorting it one day, I suppose, but we're not missing it at the moment! I can get British radio out here online, but no TV.
Well, I hope you are all well and that the weather is not too bad.

Morning all,
Managed to get all filling done and the ceiling painted and 1st coat on the bedroom walls for DF y/day. I went there at 9.30 today but DF is feeling a bit poorly, I think she overdid it y/day. The Chemo effects are catching up with her so have put off decorating untill tomorrow as she needs to rest.
So it's back to re-pointing today. DH has rigged up some scafolding needed to reach the walls up to roof height as it's difficult balancing a bucket of cement on a ladder. I think the re-pointing should be finished in a couple of days.
I have a bit of shopping to do then take my car to DSiL 2b for him to MOT, our new fridge is being delivered today, at last I can close a fridge door without using gaffa tape.
I made an asparagus, cheese & pepper quiche this morning to go with new pots & salad for dinner. Strawbs and mango for pud.
Will tackle the ironing this eve whilst catching up on DHousewives.
PEYTON, Doesn't seem like you need any of my energy, you're doing so much, but will send some by pm if needed.
TIREDMUM, I used to punish DD1 by making her watch the Val Doonigan Show. DD2 had to watch The Paul Daniels Magic Show sat on a hard stool, if they looked away I would start it from the begining again.
CATMAN, I had lots of leftover duck and made a sort of meat loaf. Line a loaf tin with streaky bacon and fill with alternate layers of duck, mushrooms, spinach and sage & onion stuffing, top with streaky bacon, cover with foil and bake at 180c for 20mns. You can use different ingredients for layering, I just used what I had.
Right then..... off to mix cement.0
