Morning everyone - please may I join you? Haven't been on OS thread for AGES but need to get going again, new bean due in October so have to get sorted moneywise etc before then!:D
Been up since 7, toddler STILL asleep, world record methinks.:rotfl:
Plan for today - shopping in town (as little £ as poss!), ironing, baking some sort of loaf (banana or date/walnut), try out breadmaker I've had on loan from mum for months & do food stocktake to sort meals for the rest of the month.
Hope to talk to you all soon! Hugs to anyone in need.

Morning all:hello:
Chrisca, I'm glad to see you're keeping the football chat going:D I suppose I'll be backing Man U too -although I've never been to Manchester but I have been to Barcelona:think: Any way best of luck to your team.
Does anyone else have suicidal birds in their gardens? I ask because not a day goes by in the summer months without a bird flinging itself at our windows and sometimes killing itself. I've had to dispose of several
There's a magpie now banging the window with its beak.
Right, today I'm taking the kids out for some fun. Something I rarely do being the uber-mean grouchy-type mother that I am. We're off to the pictures this morning to see Night at the Museum 2. I'm actually looking forward to it;) I enjoyed the first film which we watched at the weekend. I might even buy them some chocolate to take. I strongly disapprove of all the eating and drinking that goes on in cinemas (you see how mean I am), at home after alll, we manage to watch a 2 hour film without eating and drinking, but hey I'm in a beneficent mood and I haven't had chocolate for yonks:D
OSwise I'm washing and drying stuff (on a rack today as it's wet), I'm serving leftover pasta salad for lunch and 'escalope en papillote' for tea -that's a French recipe I found on a French food site for chicken breasts in foil parcels with cream, passata and mustard. We'll have it with baked spuds and asparagus/salad. I have to take daughter swimming at 5, but I'll prep them first they will cook in 25 mins after we get back. La recette est ici if you'd like to read it in French.0 -

The kids think I'm highly mean too as I can't see the point of munching your way through loads of food - and upsetting appetites later for meals. Plus the cost of it all does NOT make it a very money saving trip out  Enjoy the film anyway I'm taking DS3 to see it this weekend. 0 -

Have you been feeding them your HM bread again Thrifty?:p;)
Enjoy the magazine Penny.
Welcome back Cheapskate. I wished you a happy birthday last week.
Congratulations on the baby. :T
Windy and rainy here again but I think I'm on top of the washing. Office work today so just need to give the kitchen a swish and swipe and clear the table for my paperwork.
Sausage and mash for tea and some baking if I get the chance.
Gardening club at school again this afternoon. I hope it dries up a bit but I make them go out even if it's chucking it down. I'm probably putting them off gardening for life.
Better run

Good morning!
Not much OS going on here today, got all my check-ups etc today and a pile of tests nearly as big as me that need marking. If I get desperate for a break from them I could probably get on with some of the housework, I think I'm the only person in the house who knows how to use a hoover and mop!
