The vodafone sounds better to be honest - you might only logon quickly and that's 50p gone.

Yes but you need to buy the dongle as well (£30 after Quidco)......Vodafone don't sell the SIM's seperately!

Can you get £5 worth of credit for 3 in a shop? I thought £10 was the minimum.

    From the 3 web site:
You can only buy a £5 Top-up if you use a registered credit or debit card. This means you can only buy £5 Top-ups via My3 on your phone and on the web, or by calling 444.

But if you go over your download limit don't they have your card details to charge you if you go over your limit as in the T&C as below. Don't know how much 150 Mb is though.

Free internet allowance is applied immediately on Top-up and remains valid for 90 days. After 90 days any remaining internet allowance is lost. Subject to an allowance of 150Mb for 90 days. Internet use charged at 30p per Mb once inclusive allowance is used up.

Good point, just buy a £10 top up from a shop then they dont have your details.

The 150mb you quote is the free internet you get when you buy any top up, the one ive mentioned is a "add on" and the rates ive quoted and is unlimited as far as i can make out, some one on HDUK is using it that way ,i bought a £15 3gb monthly allowance as i didnt know you could do it this way , wish i had known earlier !

    see the pic below...

  • OK, so I now have my 02 dongle from Littlewoods, together with a free three/3 pay as you go SIM card. So all I need to do is put the 3 SIM card in the 02 dongle and buy a £10 top up from a shop, to use the 3 SIM for mobile broadband?

But how do I add the credit without putting the SIM card in a phone?
And then do I also need to buy the internet add-on?

(Which is certainly cheaper than the 02 rates!)

Sorry if this is a stupid question and I have missed something....:embarasse

Ok go to the shop and buy a £10 3 top up, then put the sim into the dongle, install the O2 connection manager, click the spanner, then profiles, then click new cellular profile, call this Three Internet or whatever you want, then click conection settings, in APN put 3internet and save.

It should then pick up the 3 internet, you just click connect

You can then go to the three website, use this link https://my3.three.co.uk/myaccount/selfcare.do you can then add the credit to your account, then go into your account and choose add on and the internet you want

Hope ive made it clear enough

You can also use the o2 software to send and receive texts, you get 500 free ones to use within 90 days everytime you buy a three top up !

Is there a step-by-step guide on how to get the iphone sim working on a netbook/laptop with an O2 (or unlocked) dongle?
Do you top-up with £10 with the sim in the dongle or do you have to put it in a O2 phone or iphone to top-up?
