how near is that to Vicar Lane...? We could meet in the lobby of the hotel? if it's near?
The hotel lobby is a few minutes walk from the start line ( now I've worked out where the hotel is:o) The Hotel is at the back of the Grand Theatre, and if anyone remembers its'over the road from the old Red bus station:o, and I think the runners will pass the hotel when nearing the finish, and about 50 meters away on the outbound bit:DPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869Numpty,Not sure why but I'm crying. Of all the peeps on this board you're the kindest & most supportive of all & I'm  &

So maybe we should meet at the lobby of Travelodge in Vicar Lane...
oh gawd it sounds early but need to meet about half past seven i guess?!?
Numpty, can you get a bus in that early in the morning?!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Alternatively, you could come and meet up with us after the race at the friends and family meeting point, (i'll find the map) afterwards, we'll be there and then the meet can begin in earnest.
That way you only have to get on a bus at 9am, rather than silly o'clock?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Nowt wrong with silly o'clock;) I'm usually up about that time:rolleyes:
But I'd go for 8:30, it is at most 5 minutes stroll from your hotel to the start line ,unless runners have to be at start line earlyPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869Numpty,Not sure why but I'm crying. Of all the peeps on this board you're the kindest & most supportive of all & I'm  &

Honestly i think maybe half seven/quarter to eight at Travelodge.... as runners info says be at Millenium square for warm up with Nell McAndrew for 815... (and no you can't come numpty, runners only!!) and then at starting pens after 0830. Green numbers at Town Hall/red numbers at Millenium square....
What we'd need to do is get spectators and kids safely ensconced at a point nearish the start, i was thinking maybe on new market street before the 1km mark.... (being there early to get a space) so everyone can see everyone coming thru at the start for a wave ....
Then to the friends and family meeting point for seeing everyone afterwards...? no point expecting the kids to trail around and see us at differing points of the run as too much effort with kids in tow!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

spud - i think you need to go out tonight, tomorrow, whenever... and walk for 6 miles... you'll see that it'll only take you an hour and half or so... maybe 2 hours tops, and you'll lay this whole "i'll never make it!" demon to rest...
You will make it... and it will be great fun!
Take DD along as well, call it training.... you need to do this, so you can enjoy the day and stop worrying, you're gonna make yourself ill missus!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
spud remember Manchester...didn't we walk for 6 miles that night looking for food!
Just treat it as a meet with a walk with food at the end of it..Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
