where did you get info that there was a hill...? sure it'll be alright.

It's a fun run, they wouldn't make a baastardy hill at 8km, it'll be okay...

    i hope!

When I set up my Justgiving page, it showed me other people doing the same race. A couple said about the hill. One said she had done it before and knew where the hills were. Another said if you manage to get up that hill at 8k, you'll be able to finish the race. Just made me a bit

There's definitely a hill towards the end, sorry guys. :o If someone could collect me from the bottom of it and drag me to the top, I would be ever so grateful!

It's not really very VERY steep though, I reckon we can handle it..... :rotfl:

It's not the kind of hill you would think 'Ohh my god' about walking up (from memory, it's possibly a flyover), in fact it probably wouldn't bother most runners - but ANY hill makes me feel like I'm dying, so I can't say I am particularly looking forward to that part of the course, other than the fact it's almost the end!

Not looking forward to that hill

I 've booked our train tickets. We'll arrive mid afternoon on the Saturday, and have to leave 0n the 18.10 train to make sure we're back for DH. Still, it's better than the 2ish I thought we would have to leave ehh :T

DD wants a running shirt with her name on. I've found plenty of places that do personalised t-shirts, but not the running tops. I was wondering whether toemail Macmillan, as she wants to raise funds for them

having realised that runners are split into different starting places (green and red) and that spectators aren't allowed at the square for the warm up, it might be an idea if we just meet as 2 seperate groups 1 of runners and 1 of any spectators... then meet up at the family/friends area afterwards... obviously we'll see one another on the way round hopefully!

sally is the only green number person thus far, which is really shiite innit....? but there is a warm up for all runners at the square from 815 so we can al lbe together then...

after 830 everyone will split up anyway as you need to start according to finish time anyway....
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
