Pay pal

Pay pal must be the most corrupt company in existance.
I recently sold a tom tom one on ebay.i have 100% possitive feedback.it was described correctly, the picture was good and it was cheap.i sent it overnight as a bonus.
27 days after the buyer recieved it they emailed me to ask for there money back,as it wasnt a new one.
I declined as it said in the add it was version one or two,it was infact two.
Two days after that pay pal locked my account as a sequrity meussure, and asked me to varify with my bank details, which would also allow them to access it.
A day after that got an email from paypal saying customer had put in dispute.
Basicly pay pal had clearly decided i was wrong.
Answered paypal stating that the itmem was an xl,the customer was now saying it wasnt xl.they then changed there minds saying desciption was missleading.it was a clear picture with exact desciption.
I sent pay pal an email stating how ridiculas the process was.and how they are clearly going to rule against me.
I also told them to tell the customer to keep the item and to send me the bill,(as im not letting them have access to my account), which i will pay,it was the principal not the money.and to close my account.
Well as expected they ignored me.
Got an email saying they had ruled in favour of buyer, with no explenation.they cant explain there is no reason to rule in there favour.they said the item had been shipped back and my account was now minus the amount owed.
I left it a few days.i had not recieved the item back.i emaled them with a rant basicly saying they had ignored me so if they insist the item comes back then it had better.
There response was that, the customer had made every effort to return the item and i should take it up with them.unbelievable .
Sent them loads more rants which they ignored.sent them more begging them to close my account and send me a bill for any amount and i will pay.they refused,i had to go through there long drawn out process of closure, which included access to my account.
I sent them a long email with my complaints and end it with, and im not proud of it,go pluck yourselves.
The only bit they read was the abuse and warned me not to do it agian.the rest of the response was irrelevent to what my complaint was.
30 days on i found out from my neighbour the item is at the sorting office.he collected some items and mine was initialy given to him in error.i havent been down there i dont want it now.
Yesterday got another email reminding me to fund my account,i have asked for a bill and for them to close twenty times.
Also got an email stating they had coverted balance to euros.
Today got a letter from dca im in defualt.
it is not being ruled against in against, its the fact that they can do whatever they want and charge you.
i have paid the bill today with dca.if i have credit file problems i will fight them with my last penny.
remember they dont have verfication of delivery, and its fluke i know where item is.
Sorry for the rant but that companay is out of controll.
Appologies for all spelling etc.

Blimey.
I think it's too late now but you should have come here a bit sooner... what a mess.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Sold it.
Buyer not happy.
Paypal said if they were not happy with it to return it at their own cost.
Buyer returned it.
Paypal refunded it.
seller was abusive in response to paypal.
Seller doesn't want to collect it.
Your choice - cut your losses and learn from it, or throw good money after bad on an ill judged error of principle.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

understand what your saying.
for these threads to work lets assume im telling the truth.
buyer not happy...can the system work if people return things for no legitmate reason.an investigation would prove me correct ie.tom tom confirmed the model was as stated.
pay pal told them to return it....it wasnt returned to me.who evers fault that is its not mine.there is no proof of delivery.i had no card through the door.buyer /paypal have not ensured goods are returned im no schycic.
buyer returned it....buyer may well have posted it.i never recieved it.if you post to someone and it gets lost, who foots the bill?
paypal refunded it....yes they did.before anything else.they also refunded without proof of delivery.and with no grounds.lets all change our minds for no reason.or lets but stuff keep it a month and return it,no reason needed.
seller was abusive to pay pal....yes he was.but this had no bearing on what happened.they just asked for it not to happen again.all paypal actions happened prior to that.
seller doesnt want to colect it...no i dont.if its there.no party in this matter seems to know where it is.i havent told them i think its there.whilst collecting some parcells my nieghbour see one for me.is it still there.is it the one.?what relevence is that.
whats your point do you have one?littlewoods/littlewoods direct/marshall ward/kays/greatuniversal/empire stores/addittions/grattans/next/ambrose wilson.barclay card/cap1/bos/vanquis gold/vodafone/3 .dell finance/currys finance

sorry just read your last sentance.
the point is ,maybe not so much in this case, paypal has far too much controll of peoples money.they can hold peoples money for ridiculas amounts of time.
my grummble is nothing compared to what they have done to some people.littlewoods/littlewoods direct/marshall ward/kays/greatuniversal/empire stores/addittions/grattans/next/ambrose wilson.barclay card/cap1/bos/vanquis gold/vodafone/3 .dell finance/currys finance

you cant default someone who is virtually begging for a bill to pay,can you?

I think you got too stressed over nothing, and ranting to ebay and paypal will get you nowhere. It's always best to be calm and stick to the facts.
Are you sure paypal "took" the money, rather than just putting in on hold until they got proof from the buyer that the item has been sent back.
Just do the manly thing and go and collect it from the sorting office. It was probably a mistake my RM not to leave a delivery card, but rather than making your life overly complicated, you should just go get it.
Then pay some money into your paypal account, otherwise you'll end up with debt collectors on your back, and potentially a CCJ.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
