It's great isn't it. Many of my family are Burnley fans and they're delighted. :j I think Reverbe just isn't a fan.
Nothing Old Style to talk about so I'll go back to lurkdom.0 -

And after that I will go all OS........
Off to Tesco to pick up a few essentials and catch some yellow stickered stuff (hopefully before Whatatwit gets there!) and then will check my little garden hasn't been washed or blown away & then will go and do my ironing - promise!
If I am back on here before 9pm as this Floss2 or the other Floss, you all have my permission to shout VERY LOUDLY at me to go & do it!!0 -
its very expensive. Your average Burnley fan wont be able to afford it. They would be better in the Championship..:p
Sorry but what evidence do you have for that statement?
Honestly Burnley isn't all run down and a lot of the surrounding areas are simply beautiful. Worsethorn(sp?), Newchurch In Pendle and Roughlee to name but three.
All of our family that follow Burnley are more than able to afford to follow their PREMIERSHIP:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:jTEAM:j:j:j:j:j
Spoke (well we spoke and they croaked back:rotfl:) to everyone that made the trip to Wembley yesterday. Mrs cat has gone to see DSIL and gang and will be at the victory parade.
As Penny thankfully still knows and Thriftlady is grieving about(sorry about that by the way) it is much better to be in the Primership:j than out of it.
OS wise, as I have the house to myself as Mrs c is gadding I am going to have pasta and a very stinky blue cheese that I made into a sauce and (no pun intended-honest) a couple of glasses of claret:j I'll get my coat......
Have a good evening everyone. CM0 -
Good afternoon everyone.
A flying visit today as I overslept this morning, went straight out with my friend to the library and came home to DH & DS1 changing fence panels. A neighbour who has just had his garden landscaped very kindly gave us his old, but still in very good condition, panels. The dog had escaped twice, the kids are running amok and DH, in his wisdom, has decided to change one of next doors panels whilst they are at work    I get on with our neighbours fine but I'm annoyed at DH as he should have checked first even though they have been talking about the state of the particular panel.
Oh well it's done now. I'm off to start tea which is sausage pasta with lots of hidden chopped veggies in it. Then hopefully a quick vac round & an evening of reading my library books.
((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))) to anyone who needs one.
Diva (((((((((special hugs))))))))))) to you honey hope things are ok for you. I miss seeing your purple posts full of so much useful info :A0 -
*Wolfie checks she's actually on the right thread*
Phew! Thought I'd wandered into a footie forum by mistake!:D I'm afraid what I know about football would fit on a postage stamp and still leave room for a cheesecake recipe. LOL
Getting a bit worried now - I have to make dinner for two for tonight and tomorrow, with 2 pints of semi-skim milk, a smallish dollop of sunflower margarine, an equally small amount of butter, half a dozen eggs, half an onion, a little plain yogurt, a smidgin of cream and some cheese.
Tonight's sorted - pasta in cheese'n'onion sauce followed by raspberries (from the freezer) with cream, but I'm not sure about tomorrow. I've been running the fridge down because we're going away, and I think I've done it a little too well!:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Evening, tea was fantastic(well I enjoyed it:o) I used some of the green (Verdi?
?) tagliatelle to offset the strength of the cheese(very very powerful) it worked well.
I am lounging about on the sofa with my wine(didn't fancy it with the pasta and cheese) and a CD on in the background.
Mrs CM is staying over at her sisters house and they are going to hit a huge discount store tomorrow. Think she will be back sometime tomorrow afternoon(shopping permitting)
Am going to have a "play" tomorrow morning. I bought some ready made puff pastry and am going to see if i can make some Danish pastries. I also want to have a go at making some fudge as my mum loves it and I would like to be able to surprise her with some when we next see them.
I am loving cooking and trying the new stuff. My wife is a fantastic cook but as she is sometimes away from home and also with her hip being so bad I like to do my bit. That makes me sound a bit smarmy but I really think its a great hobby. I like the fact that I get to try stuff as and when I fancy it. I know its entirely different when you have to cook each and every day and do a million and one other things so I do know my efforts are only a drop in the ocean:o
Also on my list to try are home made pasta; "seaweed"; Black bun; Steak and ale pie and Rosemary bread. I also need to work out what to do with left over duck. We had a very nice duck on Sunday and we were going to have the rest as part of a salad but we didn't like it cold:o:confused:. Next time I think we may either get pieces or joint it up before cooking as a full duck is far too much but will be a total waste to not use the lot. I have frozen the leftover meat and may either curry it or stir fry it. As usual ideas welcome.
Anyway, I am off to have my wine and chill. If it doesn't rain I may go and sit in the garden and watch the bats later. I love doing that it really helps me to relax.
Have a great evening and as ever thanks for all the advice, help and for making me so welcome. CM.0 -

Evening everyone :hello:
Finally escaped from the office and got home to the garden. Potted up the last of my herb seedlings and fixed some weather damaged plants in the borders. Also cleaned out the ponds. I have a friendly frog who sits at the edge of the pond and croaks away merrily when I am weeding. I haven't seen him since Thursday and tonight there is a humungous orange frog in his place.I'm hoping it's not humungous cos it ate my little green friend. (and yes... I am aware how insane that paragragh sounds
;):D)
Have done the dishes, put away the clean laundry and made cheese and ham salads for 3 packed lunches. Working from home tommorrow as I have a meeting so must exercise some self control and work rather than do more in the garden.
Catman.. I wish my OH was more like you when it comes to cooking. He's a "food is fuel" man and can't get excited by cooking (even mine)
Elona... How did your DD get on?
Tim... Good to see you. hope your wife is better soon.
Ravylesley... Glad you had such a great time.
Night night
