Morning all,
Another 5am wake up due to over active brain.
I've boiled new pots for dinner to go with the meatloaf, baby carrots and spring greans. That will save time tonight as I am painting my DF's bedroom today. I've loaded the car with painting materials ready for DF to phone to say she is up and about. The Chemo makes her tired but she is determined to do some painting.
Tonight I am babysitting DGD, 11wks old today, so DD2 & SiL2b can go out for a meal.
WM finished and clothes on the line as It's nice and sunny here today, hope it lasts.
Off to catch up and do some banking/pay bills.
WFM & BEMUSED, thank you.

Morning all, the sun is shining here so will hopefully be a nice day today. We are off to the safari park today with DD, which should be fun as I have a whole day off work - bliss!
Nan was discharged yesterday and is settled at home, we are trying to convince her to give up her job as its too much for her now (she is 79!) and to get her papers delivered as she walks a mile a day to get them - we will see if she listens!

Morning all
Dropped hubby off at work, no work for me as school is closed for renovations.
I cooked enough yesterday to feed us on leftovers all week, lol.
lazy day today, just a bit of housework & a lot of reading.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning all,
Hands up here for a bad sleep as well. I hope tonight's a bit better. Went to town today for hair appt & finished in good time so had my flu shot. I also popped into the library. Arms really sore now. I got home around 3pm. I've been reading the rest of the arv.Tea is cooked so didn't have to bother with it. DH not home yet so will wait for him.
Hope to make a cheesecake tomorrow morning & DD should arrive here just after lunch. We've got 2 1/2 weeks to catch up on.I've got DGS Friday & Saturday this week. Rain is forecast tomorrow. It's been overcast & bleak today. Washing got dry though.
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday.<hugs> to those that need them. Oh I won 3 times at Bingo last night.
I broke even. We don't have huge payouts. It's a community thing and the profits go to the island ambulance. Seeing as DH has used it I know it's going to a good cause.

Good morning all from cloudy, windy, no make that sunny, no hold on, it's cloudy again, Lancashire coast. Obviously the weather can't make up its mind what it is going to do today.
JackieO - I was just looking up the same thing yesterday on the moss problem. What I found was to pour boiling water on it and it's suppose to kill it. You can also use boiling salt water which is what I'm going to try. Leave it a few days you can sweep the dead stuff away. You may have to do it a few times to get it all from what I read. Lots cheaper than buying stuff to kill it tho. I'm going to boil up the kettle in a bit and try it in a spot or two here.
I think all the emptying out, cleaning, decorating etc in the other flats caught up to me. After tea last night I sat on the sofa to watch a little TV with DH. Was asleep at 7.30 and got up at midnight and went to bed. I got up at 6.30 this morning!I must admit, I do feel a bit better after all that sleep.
I'm needing to call the landlord today as the electrician didn't show up on Friday to do the work needed. The flats used to be on coin meters and although the feed runs off their own individual electric company meter, you still need to use coins in one flat. The coin meters need to be disconnected and removed. I guess the prior owner of the building collected the money and paid the bill. New owner/landlord wants them in each tenant's name and not his. Don't blame him.
I would have been finished in the upstairs flat yesterday except for the electric problem. In the front of the flat, you can just pop a £1 through and keep the electric going. In the back of that flat, the coin meter is broken and you can't. No lights in the bedroom area then and although you can see in there, it's not bright enough to paint. I know there are always hold ups in any project however due to the no show of electrician, I'm behind with painting and can't call the carpet guys in until the painting is done. Rant over, sorry about that.
Awaiting the kitchen to be put in for flat 2 and the new shower room to be fitted and it's ready to go. :T Onward to our flat soon, I hope. At the moment, it's looking a bit neglected. I've not put pictures or anything up as I want to wait til I'm done decorating it. I will be taking a break after the other flats before starting on ours tho.
Beth, if you'd be so kind as to share where you get all your energy from, I'd greatly appreciate it. I could use some right now! :rotfl:
DH is off today after working through the bank holiday weekend so it may just be a play day for us. I've emptied the cupboards of most everything but some pasta, herbs and spices. The freezer has veg in it. I guess shopping will be on our list today, if we want to eat.
Hope everyone has a lovely day. It's so good to "see" you all, as always.
Lots of gentle hugs,
Peyton xxTake the first step.
Even if you cannot see the whole staircase,
Just take the first step.

Morning All. Very wet here - it's coming down in sheets! I slept badly too - loads of nightmares! Got up and took one of the dogs for her usual long walk at 7am and we both came back looking like drowned rats! Having had a shower since, I feel a bit more human - the dog has been towelled off, but the smell of wet dog is very strong!
Need to start decorating in the spare bedroom today as my new desk and bookcase should arrive on Friday. Also need to go into Cambridge to collect my new specs and sort out the publicity for our Church Summer Fair. Dinner tonight in the remoska - but it's DH's turn to cook!
kjsam - what a lovely weekend! I was brought up in Weymouth, so both places you mentioned are very much on my old territory!
JackieO - hope you are feeling better by now.
((bethebee))
((HUGS)) to all who need one today.
Think I'd better stop and see if I need to start building an ark yet!Resolution:

Hi all,
Wet here. I was supposed to be going to the beach. Will have to see if the weather improves.
Just portioned yesterdays chilli for the freezer, didn't make it stretch as far as I'd hoped.
When I went to put the bins out saw I had left my lights on all night!!!! It's going to be one of those days!
Have a good OS day everyone.0 -
Good morning everyone  Drizzling here, but we spent the whole weekend outside, so happy to do some inside jobs today
I've been up since 6am, and wanted to crack on before the children are up. DD is well into her GCSE revision (history and French today) and DS has art and history projects to finish.
Old Style jobs done already:- kitchen floor and cupboard fronts washed
- ironing
- bread made
- washing done
- make yoghurt
- quesadillas for lunch
- baking (smartie cookies, lemon drizzle cake, sponge cake)
- gallette au chou for supper (I was given 2 spring cabbages from Freecycle in exchange for my surplus sprout plants :j )
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
