Just had a phone call from Toots. She has this afternoon, in hospital, received another flylady hug in the form of some get well balloons from her flylady friends and says thank you so much to everyone. She says they really cheered her up.

She said she'd noted ,before they arrived, that that lady over there had some balloons - the other lady over there had some too. But she didn't. Now she has and, apparently, hers are bigger :D

Seems she may be in a bit longer than she expected but sends her love to everyone and wanted to check up that you are all working hard. I told her you were and that we'll make sure we continue to work hard so she doesn't have to tick us off when she gets back.

What a lovely idea, thank you to whoever thought of balloons! You are wonderful. I would be thrilled to receive balloons if I was ill, they are so cheeryupping. Glad to hear they are bigger than the other ones in the ward! Please give Toots my love whenever someone speaks to her next.

I decided when Toots went in to hospital that I had to work harder so she doesn't have to nag us when she gets back - we all have to get lots of stars to make her proud.

This evening I will wash up and clean the bathroom in advert breaks in BGT!

That's the way I usually do the washing up RoseP - during the commercial breaks! I'm the ad man's nightmare! It's quite encouraging what you can do in 3 minute bursts. After an hour's long programme, flying in the breaks, you find you've achieved a lot.

Soappie - thanks for the update on Toots my thoughts and healing vibes are with her.

What time is BGT on? I might do some ironing or sewing whilst it is on.

    Evening all

Had my scan this morning, was a bit shocked to discover I do have PCOS :(:(:( I've been fobbed off by GPs for years but finally have a good one now who sent me for scan. I was actually really upset as I know it can badly affect fertility. Case of not being desperate for something til someone tells you you might not be able to have it. Have made appt with GP so will see where we go from here. Still feel a bi teary - ridiculous when I think what some of you put up withI know.

DH bought me a lovely bunch of flowers though and I've had a G&T (bombay sapphire for the gin buffs among us!) and will be decluttering some wine after I've had a shower.

Have to work tomorrow and then going to my godson's 7th birthday party, DH is staying home and flying in the study lol. I'm going to stick some laundry on in a moment but other than washing up (DH) and S&S kitchen which have been done that's it.

soappie - do you remember the business rep we had on the board with an office in the precinct? I'm sure she did conveyancing.

Soappie - does it feel odd that you may have your place to yourself sometime soon?

Rach - huge hugs hun. See if you can get a copy of one of Christine Northrups books on women's health, I have read one and it is very good, you might find some help in it.

Soappie Mum really enjoyed her walk saying it was nice and lovely. Cant say too much about being on the ward. Except to say I sat with an old lady till the family had a break for a few hours as they had been there all night. Her condition worsened while I was there. So thats my first experience and I just went for a walk when the family came back and had a drink.

I need two more stars please as I have done everything but the spare room.

Glad to hear of the update on Toots. I bet she is so enjoying those ballons.

Off to put some more washing in then a cuppa I think.

    Dusty BGT 8.30pm.
    rach hugs

    Dusty it's on at 8:30

Grateful, no i haven't heard from her for ages. I hope she's ok. She gets the BD quite badly so hope things are alright

Big hugs Rach, it's not ridiculous at all. I know it's really horrible to have the diagnosis. Even tho it does reduce fertility, it doesn't mean you will never have children. There was someone on TV just the other day who had it and got pregnant. Plus there are lots of things they do to get people pregnant nowadays. And it explains all the horrible symptoms you've been having, so at least now you have a name for what's wrong, and hopefully they will be able to help you to alleviate some symptoms now. Have you been referred to a specialist? Just allow yourself time to get your head around everything. PM me anytime if you want to chat xx

Big, big hugs Rach. I know what you mean about missing something the minute someone tells you it's not possible. But, all is not lost. It doesn't mean you'll never have children. You're still young. There are plenty of options and routes for you to travel down.

Yes, I do remember her. I may well look her up on Monday. DD phoned (she's at a wedding today, but it's her bloke's birthday tomorrow and she wanted to know if I had any birthday cake candles - talk about multitasking!), and in chatting, I asked about mates rates at her place of work but, because she's working in the probate department (just as well in this current economical climate!) she'll only be able to get discounts on wills.
