I always remember a lady calling up a programme saying that if she put her mucky pans on the lawn overnight 'the dew' (or fairies) cleaned the burnt bits off...
she was rapidly informed that actually, it would have been cleaned off by slugs...
but if you're desperate!

I left my last burnt pan soaking in stardrops & washing up liquid and warm water over night, then set too with a scourer the following day. Took a while but got it clean in the end.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

That so reminds me of my first girl guide camp. After drinking the bedtime cocoa, I was told to put my mug (enamel of course!) outside the tent - then "... the jew will clean it...". It took me a long time to realise what was meant was ".. the dew..." I had visions of a poor girl scurrying around the tents in the dead of night cleaning everyone's mugs!:rotfl:I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Pigpen just a couple of thoughts on the bank account, you should be able to open another account and set up a SO back to the main account to cover the OD reduction. If you mention that you have split then they should block any joint accounts and require both signatures for any withdrawals. If he is taking the DLA money then there will be nothing to repay the OD so your proposal to repay from another account should satisfy the bank. Whatever happens I personally would open a new account in sole name so he has no idea what the account details are etc. Whatever you decide make sure the new account is opened credits redirected and DD/SO's transferrred over before you tell them you have split
Alternatively report his card lost and ask them not replace it as you will just use your card
Now, this is the Shabbey we are talking about here..
I have 2 other accounts in my name only but the arrangement is that the CA and DLA are still paid onthis account.. even though it is more than double the required payment.
I can't report his card lost.. he has to do it!! I refuse to pretend to be a man!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

But, enough all this fresh air. The sun has gone behind next door now and the breeze is picking up so I shall go in, sort out the front room, award myself another star and then it will be time to say hello to NN and GordonI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Re: my friend.... it was adjourned. I have to say it doesn't look good. Her solicitor seems useless. She looks bonkers and he looks great. Not happy at all. But feel utterly uesless.MMSSB Club Founder Member
