    Hi folks

Soappie~~ some times I do worry about the flyladies / men~~ I was starting to wonder what your 'tidy damp man' was / is!:o

Pigpen~~ I would be shouting blue murder at my ex if he took the kids DLA money, if you cannot change bank accounts, can you some how stop him having access to drawing anything out of it? maybe a discussion with a 'helpful' bank manager may help.

Right today, I have finally been a got some more hearing aid batteries from the doctor's, I was down to my last one. :o

I have at lunchtime weed killed out side the front of my house.

At work I have written a nasty letter to a nasty customer who call my contracts manager a clown! I feel better for it, and hopefully it will resolve a situation as I made lots of helpful suggestions.

I am about to hoover the office out and the stairs.

There are only 2 branches here and the managers are about 13 and never available.. they justtell you to ring the telephone banking number and speak to someone in Delhi (literally!!) and they are useless! He has apparently put it back in but is refusing to pay the mortgage or bank loan.. and wants the children tomorrow.. I am seriously sick of this and skitting through the yellow pages for a solicitor.. he can't afford one.. but I don't have to pay it!

He can't get it into his thick head that if he pays the mortgage (until HB is sorted and they pay the interest) and the bank loan (secured so no option in order to keep the house) then I'll pay everything else.. the overdraft, the next and BHS (which both have lots of stuff onfor him too not just the rest of us) and all the huge bills etc... I've taken them all on.. yet he is refusing to pay these to keep a roof over the childrens heads..

the 2 houses I enquired about last month when he did this never sent me the details..but I need to save a security deposit in all truth before I can move anywhere I need around £1500.. *ponders ordering a new credit card* .. *thinks that ponder didn't last long and decided she isn't that stupid*..

I am getting a bit stuck.. he has the house over me.. and I am apparently not being reasonable.. he wants in writing what I want from him.. maybe I should do it and write in it that I also want him to stop acting line a c**t .. let him take that to CAB .. :p

I need to transfer the BB and phone into my name.. oops.. and sort someone to collect DD1 from school in about an hour!

AND.. to top it all.. my water infection is back! Glands in my neck are still swollen but my sense of smell is returning.. I need to clean out the rabbits!

Piggers - big hugs love. Splitting up is never easy and when finances go haywire too, it's an awful strain.

Kazw - the damp man: It's the man who came to sort out the rising damp in my front room under the window. He's knocked off the plaster, put new damp course stuff in and replastered. He finished about an hour ago.

I have washed the windows and rehung the nets. but left stuff where it is at the mo. He took a strip of carpet up and has wiped over the floorboards under the window so I can't put the carpet back until the floor's dried. Only once the carpet's back can I put the furniture back.

Apart from that, I've had a lovely time just sitting in the garden with the lappy working on the book. There's been wall to wall sunshine all day with just a nice bit of a breeze to stop me getting too hot. This is the life!

solicitors should offer a free half hour interview..take a few up on this as it's a good way of finding one with whom you feel comfortable...but you don't have to ask them all the same questions IYSWIM...
do tell them you are looking for a solicitor you feel you can work with and that you'll be seeing a couple of others before you make up your mind.

I told my ex this BUT he still went with a firm beginning with A - phone book in alphabetical order LOL who charged about twice mine. And they fobbed him off with the 'no-one does free half hours' and he fell for it...but part of the reason we split is that he never believed what I said!

Be aware that even if you do get legal aid you MAY be required to pay back legal fees subject to court order so still worth keeping an eye on the cost.

And the bit of advice I always give don't cry in the solicitors...go to the solicitors when you're feeling strong. Your friends are there to be sobbed on - you can't afford to cry if you're paying £2 a minute for advice!

It's now preferred by the courts for couple to go for mediation (which has to be paid for) in an attempt to settle these issues - the agreement isn't legally binding but it would be in your favour to do this if so advised - and apparently would NOT be looked upon favourably should you choose not to go through the mediation process. That would be the time to write down what you/he want.

Hope you don't mind my chipping in with this...

I've just been asked to get a CV in by Monday for the job I was interested in but was closed by the time I found it  I'm out tonight and tomorrow (in London doing cake decorating), so guess what I'll be doing on Sunday :D I'm still not happy with the current version but really don't know what to do without starting from scratch again...

My sister would give me free advice.. she is home this weekend actually so i may give her a yell.. she will know someoen in the know as well which will be free.. I don't do crying.. I want to kill him stone dead.. problem solved..

I suggested mediation and he screamed at me.. I don't think he was interested.

and chip away.. thank you xx
