Morning all,
Well the drinks last night were interesting - rather akin to an episode of the bill! We were all sitting outside this posh winebar, and it was absolutely packed. We thought there must've been something going on at Goodwood or something cos everyone was all dressed in suits. Turned out to be a wake. Anyway, a couple of the blokes there had had far too much to drink, and were getting rowdy. I don't know what they said or did when they went inside, but the duty manager (female) came out and said that if they didn't leave, they would call the police. Cue one of the drunk women getting up to defend the men, a riot van turning up whilst they legged it out the back into the carpark. One of the mail waiters went out to stop them leaving and the woman threw a bottle of drink at him. Next thing we know, there are 6 police officers running out the carpark, then another police car turned up and another 4 started running, including a very short, fat, old officer who pulled out his baton and with a very red face, ran to join them. At this point (although I didn't) half the people sitting outside rushed to see what was going on and got shouted at to go away! Apparently the woman was being held back by police, one of the men was pinned to the ground and there was a police hat on the floor, the police surrounding the troublemakers in a mexican stand-off style! They were out there for ages, and no-one was allowed to go through the carpark. They eventually brought the woman past us all in handcuffs with a police officer on each side. The other bloke must have been taken off from the back of the carpark cos he wasn't there when I went to get my car. Exciting! Will have to look and see if it makes the local paper.

Lady Liberty – you are our cheerleader, but if you don’t post you won’t be able to cheer us on. You have to post so we know you are ok and so that you can encourage us to do more flying!
Michelle – 2 Grand were lovely on BGT last night, but I didn’t see the results (have it recorded to watch with DH later) so I don’t know if they went through or not.
