well that goes in your favour...you suggested it - he rejected the offer. Keep a note of when you suggested it and his response. And note when he takes money off you - is late picking kids up, anything.
Whatever anyone says the civil legal system (I always, personally, feel it should be called uncivil but hey ho) is, by its nature, adversarial. Mediation is (my opinion here) an attempt to change that but most divorces are acrimonious and it will be your word against his...but when you pull out your notebook and say on 32nd May you withdrew £x from Y account which was child benefit/DLA and deprived children of it you wil be listened to because you have kept records.

Oh and if you have to fill in Form E you will need bank statements for a full year and details of all accounts/bills and debts and valuations of property/diamond tiaras etc.
Better buy a filing cabinet and stop shredding it all...

I hope you manage to get something sorted pigpen, he sounds like a right a*seh*le.

On a flying scale, yesterday DH hoovered the stairs, bedrooms AND cleaned the bathroom!!!! I think our little 'chat' on Wednesday has sunk in :) and tonight we are going to see Night At The Museum 2 at the cinema :) I dont think he's done any cleaning today, I haven't asked him to do any anyway, I'll crack on with the washing tomorrow if the weather stays :) All that he has done just means that I can finally start resting as Dr has instructed :) Yay :j And I'll be back and bouncing in a few months :T Finances are slowly starting to ease up which is meaning less stress, less stress = extra energy, extra energy = maybe 1 star :D hehe

Hope toots is ok, *hugs* to everyone
    Hope your doing ok Rosepink

when I was going through my divorces I used to fantasise about the earth's population being reduced by one - and the subsequent stress relief I would have enjoyed...

    On a flying note...
stairs vacuumed; beds made, washing brought in and MORE washing pegged out.

    Hi everyone

Been MIA for a couple of days due to chinwagging til all hours the other night, child collecting, fence building and then this morning we went to see Night in the Museum 2 which Miss A and W loved. Just called to get some more postcrete for the fencing and caught up on here.

I have spoken to the hospital about toots, needless to say they give practically no information but she is doing ok :) Will be touch and go as to whether she is home this weekend.

    Very little
[STRIKE]no[/STRIKE] flying round here unless you count decluttering a bowl of ice cream just now :p

Pigpen just a couple of thoughts on the bank account, you should be able to open another account and set up a SO back to the main account to cover the OD reduction. If you mention that you have split then they should block any joint accounts and require both signatures for any withdrawals. If he is taking the DLA money then there will be nothing to repay the OD so your proposal to repay from another account should satisfy the bank. Whatever happens I personally would open a new account in sole name so he has no idea what the account details are etc. Whatever you decide make sure the new account is opened credits redirected and DD/SO's transferrred over before you tell them you have split ;) Alternatively report his card lost and ask them not replace it as you will just use your card :D

Greenbee - glad you found a way in, the person we knew has left as well.

Pigpen - good luck. £10 on the Which Guide to Divorce is money well invested imho.

Flying wise - the tumble dryer has died so I have had to put some washing on the line. A rare thing for me, I did think of you all as I tried to find enough 'value' pegs to put it all out.

I have just burnt a pan by forgetting I was steaming stuff till the water had all gone. It really is black and horrid - but is a good pan. Any suggestions?

I have done that not once but twice this week  I just ended up soaking and scrubbing mine. Still some marking on but hopefully it will get better each time it is washed!
