...IMHO it looks like it was designed by a Star Wars nerd - it bears more than a passing resemblance to a storm trooper!

Why buy an X3? it's like saying i wanted an X5 but couldn't quite afford it!

I bet you don't go offroading in it (ever see the top gear episode where they tried?) so why buy a 4x4?

I disagree its like saying I want a small 4x4.

Someone buying a Ka doesn't usually do it because its cheaper than a Focus, but because they want a smaller model.

Anyway, I don't have an X3 or an X5, I was just remarking that I like the X3s.

When DD was in the Toyota showroom looking at the Aygos, I sat in a showroom top of the range Land Cruiser, it was like a living room inside.

I think the term "classic" must have changed over the years. Just my opinion mind.

    The RS marque, now yes, that's a historic marque..think RS1600/RS1800/RS2000/RS3100 (now that's a rarity, wasn't there an RS2600 too?)..THOSE I class as classic. Mk1 Escort - classic. Mk2 also. MK3 I can take or leave. MK4, meh, MK5 on, you're having a laugh etc.

Focus..no, I can't say it fits with classic. How many will we see cherished and running 26 years down the line, even if ford last that long? You can't really call anything post '90s "classic" IMO. The skill and driving experience isn't in it.

This is nonsense. All those cars were exceptional in their time, and are now from a previous era. A totally mint Escort RS Turbo mk 1 can command £20K now, nice ones are a good £7K upwards.

Cosworths are holding their value very strongly, RS500's are crazy money. Focus RS - still kicking around the £10K+ mark.

Its only a matter of time for this one....

    GoldieSpanners...........

    It is bl**dy GORGEOUS!!!

I direct this post to you to avoid negativity :D

I love it, I want one - it is really really tasty. I'm glad son went for the white one. Think the green would be irritating after awhile (plus the panels not matching .. allegedly:eek:) Blue would look, well, like blue really and the white really does show up the accesories. He's got the Lux pack and has to learn loads of buttons and stuff (not sure I could cope at my age... ;)).

    And the seats................. GORGEOUS!!

(Please note the the word 'gorgeous' should be said in a Little Britain Matt Lucas kind of way... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

It is far better than I thought it would be - I saw loads of pics - but to see one in real life......

Even the Toyota Lexus guys at work loved it!! And the BMW biased guys said they would like one........ It is bit of a head turner.. :D

So post all those Star Wars pictures all you like! They really do not reflect the image of this car! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
