DT you have a achieved a fantastic amount :T thats a really inspiring post :A

Is your husband completely on board? I bet he is so glad you found this site seen as you have whipped so much of the debt into shape in the last year.

Not only have you reduced your debt by £21k but imagine how much interest you have saved yourself in the coming year by getting all your CC's in 0%.

    KM

    Thanks for your kind words

OH is onboard in the sense that he wants the debt to be paid off but leaves all the finances up to me and he was not prepared to wait for the car which I would have preferred but he otherwise does as he is told:rotfl:and makes the necessary phonecalls under strict supervision with regard to CCs etc.:D

He has had a CC offer from Barclays this morning allowing a BT up to £5000 for 12 months at 0% 2.5% fee valid until 1st September as we don't need a new 0% deal until October I will wait and see what else we can get and if necessary use this offer at the end of August.

    6. There is one thing that has been bothering me and I think it is Hypno :Athat is making me write this after she confessed to the total amount of her debts some time ago. I too have unconfessed debt I have a £20,000 loan from my Mom it was used to buy our present house so is 11 years old :o the understanding was that it was interest free as it was used to buy a bigger house so that Mom could live us but that I would repay it when she dies or at least £15000 of it as there are 4 children and £5,000 would be mine anyway. She is 93 so I have to be realistic about this and I would really like to pay it all back so that it is sitting in her bank account I know she doesn't want it and doesn't need it but neither is she swimming in money and this will be the main bulk of what she leaves and my brother and sisters do not know about it and I am feeling uncomfortable about it. I won't add it to my sig yet but it is something I will have to come back to and address at some point and of course if the worst happens I will have to address it immediately.

So I am trying to concentrate on what we have achieved as the next 12 months is going to be tough and it feels a bit of a struggle at the moment.

Sorry for the ramble but it is useful to have an annual review I think.

DT - that's really brave of you to write that down. The key is you are aware of it and obviously making tentative steps towards forming a plan to deal with it. You really should focus on what you have achieved as it's been a lot. You've already climbed a huge mountain and will find a way to do it again.

I'm certainly here for the long haul, so you will have lots of support from me and many others i'm sure. Big hugs xxx

    morning

well yesterday turned into a fun day:eek::eek:
at 11am ds was sitting on the settee holding his head complaining again of his brain being scrambled,,,so off to the children's hospital we went

after cks for meningitis and swine flu,,he had blood and urine tests, he appears to have had a resurgence of his ck pox virus!!,the dr (she was a total head case,,,more barking than me,,,,so suited to dr ing children:rotfl:) was checking his throat he promptly got rid of his breakfast,,,and suddenly came back to life,,,,,so weird!!
thinks he may have been a little dehydrated ,,,as he went to bed early sat and missed 2 to 3 drinks

dosed for the day with colpol,, back to normal today
got home at 3.30pm es 16yrs was here mum said you would take me to the bus station,as hes going to ex,,in-laws to work the farm for the week(nice to be told of the arrangements):rotfl:
so grabbed a coffee and biscuit and of to dublin again...only he missed the bus and had to go back and sit with him for 2hrs(that part of dublin can be dodgy some times) so got home at 9.30 pm
had coffee went bed ,,,,,got up realised id not eaten all day:rotfl::rotfl:#
    oh the joys:cool:

Wow Shaun my life is a breeze compared with yours no wonder you are looking forward to your hols.
    I'm fine thanks Karma.

Just preparing for the baby's birthday for when she comes back from contact with Mum and Dad although she will probably be zonked so goodness knows what time the party will be

Also struggling with the government's online service silly me thought once I had got gateway id for self assessment that I would be able to use it for the pensions service that would be too easy no I need another activation code for that and it has to come in the post what a performance so now I won't have the info for the accountant tomorrow I know I shouldn't leave it to the last minute but really the gov drive me mad.

Rest of accounts nearly done just need to sort out last bit of mystery shopping info and then I am done.:D

Now I need to bake another cake but am waiting for butter to arrive with shopping OH is doing and the school have sports day today so have to be there with the children for 12.30 but if it starts persisting down again I shall be giving it a miss as the nursery class is not taking part.
