I'm envious. I've got the virgin media cable man here at the mo, and its turned most of the house upside down
meantime, I'm sitting here trying to look like I'm doing stuff, and yet *more* electronics boxes appear on my walls at random intervals. Sigh .... I'd love to get this house rewired and replumbed. And re-telecomed.

I'm envious virgin cable - ooh what lovely speed you can have I'm virgin broadband but so far from the exchange I am lucky to get 2mb.
I have an old house which is lovely but I would love to remove a few walls - too thick- and change the layout downstairs, have underfloor heating, move the stairs, redo all the windows, extend upstairs and move bathroom, replace the bathrooms, change the entrance, install a ground source heat pump, rainwater harvesting, redecorate have all wooden floors change the furniture, rewire, redesign the lighting, redesign the garden, improve the heat insulation - and then it would be perfect.
I would really like George Clarke to visit and give me some ideas and the budget to do it:D
The house is lovely

Office update
Filing done and office tidy.:j
All paperwork sorted so just need to do the charity paperwork - but I have a headache so I have put that off until tomorrow but will be much easier now I know where everything is.
Accounts will wait but they are all together and sorted so that will be easier too.
Gone into overdraft as expected today still it will only be for 2 weeks the problem of being paid every 3 months but I need to get a grip on this - first time I have been in overdraft since LBM

Great list of things to do on the house! Sorry you've got to use the overdraft ... at least its there, I suppose, but not nice.
I'm with you on ...replace the bathroom (and instal ensuite), change the entrance, install a ground source heat pump, rainwater harvesting, redecorate, change the furniture, rewire, replumb, re-telecom, resurface the "drive", rebuild the boundary wall one side and the retaining wall the other side, renew the damp proof course, renew the guttering redesign the lighting, redesign the garden, improve the heat insulation - and then it would be perfect..
Oh yeah. Perfect. I've just got back online after a biatch of a day waiting for cable guy, having cable guy insult my intelligence and generally futz around. Couple of hours work, mercifully, then trying to get things straight - never trust virgin cable phone lines. It wasn't until a woman happened to be put through to me that anything started to happen, and once she'd waved her magic wand, a bloke could manage to take overI said something similar to her, whilst apologising for the stereotyping, and she said that wasn't the first time she'd been told that......
Absolutely freaky not having any internet connection, I don't like it!

It was a woman from virgin that sorted out my lack of internet after being fobbed off for three weeks by guys - mind you I did say I was leaving and I meant it - result engineer was round the next day and it was fixed. Thus ending my hours of sitting in McDs using their free wifi.
