Another busy day in the DT household

    1. Get baby ready for all day contact  not happy about this but hopefully will be sorted soon as I had a phone call from social worker last night to say he would try and get it sorted in a couple of days rather than the 3/4 weeks I was told before it pays to get mad but I can only get mad on the part of the children not for myself which I need to do sometimes.
Abandoned as both Mum and Dad cancelled contact so took baby for immunisation on my own which was much easier
    2. Sort out what I need to buy for two birthday cakes one dinosaur and one princess castle so that i can bake them today and decorate them tomorrow while the little [STRIKE]devils[/STRIKE] angels are at school.
Baked and items bought just need to assemble, ice and decorate tomorrow whilst they are at school
    3. Go and buy birthday cards and wrapping paper and wrap presents whilst they are at school today as they keep getting up to go to the toilet at bedtime and are likely to catch me in the act
All done except last two presents a blue and a pink wheelbarrow (told you I needed help in the garden) underestimated paperso DS been and got some more and have persuaded OH to wrap these he has not started yet should be interesting:rotfl:
    4. Tax two cars
    Done but I nearly forgot
    5. Sort out paperwork - bit of a recurring theme really need to get on top of this
Oh dear still not done and not likely to get done tomorrow either :o
There could be more but I will be lucky if I get all this done:rolleyes:

    DTxx

Oh well not too bad but could do better:o

Well the only thing I have done today is really enjoy the birthday with the mini DTs and make the cakes of course. Have had an absolutely fab day house is full of balloons the maxi DTs got a bit carried away :rotfl:

The children really liked them and there is still some left for tomorrow OD is treating them to the pictures to see Ice Age 3 and we are going as well.

All I have to do now is decide what cake to make for Monday for the baby's 1st birthday?

Good job I bought the mini DTs wheelbarrows for their birthday mine has just collapsed it was quite expensive - but there again I did buy it in 1995 so I supposed 14 years is not bad but I really do not need any more expense this month I can see no way of avoiding going into serious overdraft this month which I haven't done since my LBM:mad:

Was going to do paperwork this afternoon but that has been scuppered as baby returned early as mom did not show for contact again  this is the woman who reckons she is going to appeal if the court decide adoption is the way forward  meanwhile this poor little mite is getting older and her future is not settled.

Only 20p on scratchcards today but still it all helps I was hoping OH might win the big one on the premium bonds and solve all our problems after all he is 61 now and has had the grand total of 4 since childhood:rotfl: which he has never won anything with so it must be his turn surely:question::D

Off to pick the little ones up from school and then off to see Ice Age 3 I am always cold in the cinema normally so it should be nice today

Loving the analysis bit...sounds like Shaun has an astute little one there. Sorry about the social worker debacle, awful when that happens...hope the birthday celebrations go well.

I dont know how you do the fostering, I think it would upset me too much. The baby is so lucky to have you looking after her. What happens if the court decide she should be adopted? I dont know how a mum could not show up for contact.

    The cakes look brilliant!

How was ice age 3? I'm taking DS and a friend to see it next week. I'm quite looking forward to it myself ;):D

The fostering bit is great - I get to have lots of babies without having to deal with the teenage years :D (although I respite foster a 13 year old as well) it is dealing with social services that stinks. If the court decides she should be adopted which they probably will and Mom appeals it will delay the adoption and she will probably be with us another year - which makes it harder for her and us. The worst thing is giving them up I am in bits definitely not a good day but I try not to think about it:rolleyes:
