Hi
New to this board, came across it and thought it was a great idea.
Our house has been on the market since August last year. We had around 10 viewers up to the end of 2009 and 1 set in January, since then nothing.
We are pretty sure our EA just stopped marketing us because we refused to drop our price by 5% (£9k), we are in Central Scotland and have it on fixed price at the valuation price (although I am sure the value has increased since valuation cos prices have gone up here).
We ditched them this week and are going to give myproperty4sale a go, they are coming round on Friday to measure up etc. and the for sale sign is on it's way. They have a much bigger online presence than our very local estate agent (just cover our town basically).
They can't do a worse job than the last lot can they!0 -
well,
just had a call from the EA selling the house we want.... someone else has just viewed it, noted an interest and has nothing to sell .. they are away to think about it.
Why is it a place that has been on the market since November 2009, and we were the first viewers this year. we noted our interest 4 weeks ago but as it stands all our money is tied up in our current property.
and so far no interest in ours... will be 2 months on the market on Monday and I am so tempted to drop the price down a bit to we try and gather more interest ( dropping £7k takes it under £170k bracket)
or does anyone have any ideas on how I can raise £90k so I can grab this one now!.
been one of those days.
Oh and NEH fancy renting our house??? lol.0 -

Welcome to the thread!
If you went with a Solicitor it would appear on the Solicitors property website for your area, not sure if your Perthshire or Stirling area, would that be better as most peeps here in Scotland use Solicitors Property Centres...well,

Well there is 2 of us and whilst we need a separate office for my hubby making a min 3 bed a necessity and a 4 bed if need be i think 5 beds we would be rattling around thanks :rotfl:
Well more rental properties seem to be coming on the market finally but for example the one we looked at last week that had already gone, there is another one in the same road but this week they've put £75 more on the price so I think the Solicitors round here have figured that as there is a shortage of rental propeties let's bump the price up so I think effectively we have just been priced out of our area even if by some miracle something did come up...0
