  • Hi
If you ring them up they give you an address to send them back and they will be put back onto your clubcard account as long as they are still in date

I've got a date booked for laser eye surgery at Optimax, where I'll be paying entirely with Tecso tokens (only way I can afford it). I'm still slightly short though and a friend was going to buy something for £45 at Tesco Direct. She suggested to me that as points are only worth face value at TD I might as well pay for her purchase and she can give me the points she would have spent, which I can quadruple up (for now anyway) to pay for Optimax. The thing is, can I use the numbers on her vouchers, which have her name on, or will they only work on her account, meaning she has to order my Optimax tokens? And if this is the case then I guess I need to check with Optimax whether they'll accept tokens with her name on... TIA!

    Hi there,

Noticed noone else had replied to this so I had a look into it for you as Im interested in the answer myself. Before checking, my first instinct was that you could use the codes from your friends CC vouchers whilst logged into your own Tesco account. I combined my vouchers with someone elses for Blackpool Pleasure Beach tokens earlier in the year with no problems (abeit it was my Dads, so same surname, but different addresses and different accounts nonetheless).

When checking the Optimax page on Tesco Deals I came across this http://www.tesco.com/CLUBCARD/DEALS/PRODUCTINFOSHEETS/S7806.PDF which states that reward tokens cannot be transferred or combined with someone elses tokens. But as the reward tokens will now be in your name, then this wouldn't be an issue.

I think it would be worth a go, the worst that can happen is that Tesco refuse to send you the tokens...but as the codes would have been accepted on the website by this point I dont think you will have any problems.

Good luck and let me know how you get on!

    Jen :)

There is a deal on Grabbit Quick get it now under "not technically a grabbit but tesco vouchers"

This is to check your clubcard account to see if you have any unspent vouchers from the past 2 years. Hope this helps :)

To be pedantic, 'old vouchers' do not get reissued, (only the current statement vouchers can be reissued within a short period), they can converted back into points into the current new running total - coming out with everything else at the next mailing.

I am planning on buying a digital camera, there is a code TD-G5J7 to give you a free photo frame, I enter it at the checkout and it seems to accept it, but it doesn't show in my basket just the camera, I have got to the stage where you need to enter your payment details.

Does anyone know if it gets added after or if it hasn't worked properly?

    Thanks
