It's "ok" (just) when it works, and absolutely pathetic when it doesn't.
Terrible call centres with terrible staff who don't know what they are doing.
I wouldn't go near them to be honest, they're dirt cheap for a reason.0 -
I haven't had that many problems with them at all. There has been a few times when the phone lines went down, but after about an hour, it was all fixed again. Speed of internet is reasonable, and they are the cheapest! (I think!)Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Mother is on TT. Not had any problem since day 1 (about 18 months now). Not even gone down whereas Zen used to quite regularly.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

The general opinion is that IF it works Talk Talk are acceptable, if you have a problem you have a whole world of hurt.0

Walk away!!!! I have had no end of problems with talktalk. Slow internet, phone lines not activating for a month after my go live date, extra charges where they see fit, refunds not arriving, compensation not arriving, poor customer service etc.0

Like any ISP there are folks who have trouble, and those who dont.
All I can say about TalkTalk is that they were the only provider who were willing to try an install on my line out in the wastelands of cambridgshire, and to their credit I have had a working connection ever since, sure its a bit slow but thats a limitation of where I live.At times any combination of my spelling, grammar or punctuation may be incorrect. Please do not pick me up for this as, after all, it is only an internet forum.0 -
can be a bit slow but they have provided everything that they said they would and at a bargain price too!0

I can thoroughly agree with Paul R's comment. They are very cheap and quite reliable now compared to when they first started in the business. I have phone and broadband - its brilliant. I can call anywhere in the UK for free provided the telephone number startes with 02 or 01 which is pretty much everything apart from mobiles and 0845 type numbers. I also signed up for the international call package which gives me free calls to Spain and France where I can talk for ages to my OH when he is away on business. Broadband is fast and good. They also offered me a free modem when I renewed my contract last year. Yeah - no problems at all.Tact: getting your point across without stabbing someone0
