Welcome Finance - Anyone been successful?

Hey there

Firstly, take everything Welcome say with a pinch of salt. I have had various loans with them (unfortunately) and, from experience, you often get told completely opposite things depending on who you speak to, there never seems to be a uniform response from anyone.

I have a loan with around seven payments left - but I have claimed back the PPI which has been used to pay off the remainder of what I owe and the rest has been paid by cheque. I certainly didn't have to wait until the loan or anything else came to an end.

basically - if you think you were mis-sold it, go for a refund straight away - but use letters sent via recorded delivery NOT speaking to someone on a phone because (when you eventually get through which is a miracle in itself) I would take any advice they give with a pinch of salt. I have always found Welcome to be helpful and pleasant on the phone - but am not confident with the quality of what they have to say.

so do you think i should sent the first letter for refund of PPI to welcome finance now even though i got a few payments left?
I have just been to library to print the first template letter off but unsure which address to send the letter recorded to?
Do you have the address for welcome who you sent your first leter to?

Definitely - send it now. To give Welcome credit where it is due, they actually acknowledged my first letter pretty quickly and wrote back saying they would look into the complaint (although it did take a while for them to come back with a final decision).

Can't remember the addy I used off the top of my head - but am happy to DM you it when I get home this evening (at work now).

But - obviously - only do this if you want the PPI cancelling as you obviously won't be able to use it to make a claim if you are still owing them money for the loan and end up being ill and not being able to work, etc etc.

I have loads of different addresses and am confused.
Have you seen the template letter on here? As thats the one i am using, just wondered if you sent similar first letter?

Of course - will DM message you and also post it on here this evening when I'm home. It is the addy I used and they have on their correspondence so you will know it is the right one. I know what you mean - they have LOADS of different addresses.

Yep - my letter was an exact replica of the template letter on here. Martin knows his stuff (obviously) so go with the template letter and you won't go far wrong!! :beer:

thanks for the address.
Does it matter that the template letter i printed off as my Local welcome finance office address on it, or shall i Amend the address as well as posting it to the address you just gave?
