Call everyone "Darling" or "Chuck"...okay it makes you seem either gay or a Cilla Black impersonator, but it does work... ;)

    Hi Bookie :hello:

What you done to your lawnmower?

My DH did everything he could to break ours yesterday. First he ran over his foot - luckily he had his steel toecapped boots on, wrecked em though. Then he ran over the cable and chopped it in half. I ordered him some new boots, then went and bought a new cable  :D
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

I feel a bit like I'm right back at square one. Like the people who were anti CD will be saying 'told you so' . Like I still havent learnt and gained control :o

I loved the no measuring, no weighing, no counting side of CD. I think if I'd had CDC who was willing to help, I'd have been fine.

As for DH, I havent a clue what he sees in me if I'm totally honest. But, whatever it is, he's been here nearly 20 years, married for almost 16. I'm obviously doing summink right, ehh ;):D

You haven't been on it long enough to have learnt and gained control I don't think, the first couple of weeks are just getting the hang of the new routine and getting over the side effects of no bread, caffeine, alcohol, and drinking loads of water. I love the simple side of it too, I think maybe you should try a new counsellor.

I would hate people to see me as a CD 'fanatic' I'm not - I just think some things work for some people, and it did for me and it does for Maz.

There is a programme on tv this week that looks interesting '10 things you need to know about losing weight' BBC1 8pm on Wednesday.

He's not really a 'darling' type of bloke or 'chuck' (thats more me!:D) he just thinks he is actually calling people by their real names, he doesn't see the problem. I have grown quite used to it now. Not keen on being called Mandy though:rotfl:

I ran over an owl! Now the plastic spigotty things what hold on the rotary blade thing have sheered off and it just groans loudly and cuts nothing. Hey ho.

Spud, I did the CD 28 years ago  after I had DD1. It worked for me whilst I was on it and I was in a happy, positive time of my life. However, it soon went on again with DD2 and I couldn't cope with it when I tried it again a few years after that. WW worked for me a few years ago but at the moment whatever I try I just comfort eat stupid food that I don't even enjoy! I think that maybe reflects my state of mind at the moment.
We are all different and different things work for different people.

BUT - whatever you try you are a lovely person. Losing weight will not change the inner niceness of you. It is you that needs to be comfortable with yourself and please realise that your perception of how other people see you is not accurate - we see a great person.
(sorry - I'm rubbish with words but Sammy summed it up well!)
