The envelope says:" Pay As You Go , O2 3G card"
Maybe it is just a normal sim card.

    I have a question:
Does this unlimited wifi work also if we use an O2 mobile broadband sim card Pay as you go? I mean the sim that is used for an usb modem.

    Thank you

Yes, the Unlimited WiFi works for the duration of your Top Up. You'll need to have a WiFi network card installed to take advantage.
  • Hi guys! I use this key on my laptop with Telstra Connection Manager and Windows Vista..I have a problem that i'm not able to resolve. Everytime i connect to internet, it appeares the window of the Network Settings and it asks me to choose the name of network and the type(Private or Public)...and this happens every time i disconnect and re-connect..It happens only with Vista...Anyone has observed this problem? How can i resolve it? Thanks a lot!!

p.s.: another question.. Instead of Telstra Connection Manager i installed and used Globe Visibility Connection Manager, which is the software loaded on the key after unlocking and which autoruns everytime i connect my zte key to usb port. The two softwares are similar..So why does the guide suggest to use and install Telstra Connection Manager?
    Could anyone answer me pleeease?

I got hold of a locked '3' UK ZTE MF627,
I followed this, it doesn't detect the SIM card.
Check it's unlock status with dc-unlocker, I get this error

    Found modem : MF626
    Model : ZTE MF626
    IMEI : 3580660215xxxxx
    Firmware : BD_P673M3V1.0.1B02
SIM Lock status : Unknown (Invalid SIM lock data)

Anyone know how to fix this?
    thanks

I have the same issue poss, did you manage to fix it? Oddly enough, when i put in my O2 sim, the sim is recognised and dc-unlocker says that the dongle is unlocked, and the telstra connection manager picks it upo ok, but when i use my orange sim dc-unlocker says invalid code and the telstra just says limited connection. I have tried the orange sim in my phone though, and it manages to pick up a signal, so it doesn't seem broken

I've been using the dongle for a while, for one reason and another I lost the Telstra connection manager and have just re-installed it. However I really should have made a note of the Tmobile APN settings (I use Tmobile as a back up for when I can't get a signal from O2). If any of you can remember the Tmobile settings I'd be very grateful to receive them. Many thanks, Carol

Have you tried the settings referred to in the opening post?

I should have mentioned that I've tried the setting on the list in the current post to no avail. I've got the dial number set as *99***1# so maybe that's what's wrong... any idea what the correct dial number should be?

Try using *99# or just call T-Mobile and tell them you are using your own USB modem.

Thanks Donnie, will do. Unfortunately I'm in a no-signal zone for ALL mobile networks at mo so can't try it out... but at least I have good old landline broadband instead :-)

Has anyone managed to get an orange sim working on the 3 modem?? My O2 sim works perfectly, but the orange one doesn't

    Hello there

I've just stumbled on this thread and wondered whether anyone is aware of any sources of cheap dongles now available. The deal from the first post has now expired and I have tried to search the thread without success.

    Thanks

    Ugi
