I got hold of a locked '3' UK ZTE MF627,
I followed this, it doesn't detect the SIM card.
Check it's unlock status with dc-unlocker, I get this error
Found modem : MF626
Model : ZTE MF626
IMEI : 3580660215xxxxx
Firmware : BD_P673M3V1.0.1B02
SIM Lock status : Unknown (Invalid SIM lock data)
Anyone know how to fix this?

HI,
I am new and I hope you can help me.
I have unlocked the 3 usb ZTE MF627
I bought an Iphone 3G sim card and topped with £10.( I do not know if there is
a sim card for phone and one for usb mobile modem, I just asked for a sim card).
Installed the Telstra connection manager and set it
for O2.
Tested and everything worked perfectly.
Now the problem.
After 3 hours of surfing the connection dropped.
Tried to riconnect many time but not chance.
Then I phone O2 customer service and they told me that
the sim card is active but the credit of £10 is run out.
He said because of surfing on Internet.
My question:
How can be possible that if we assume that the
combination of this unlocked 3 usb ZTE MF627 with iphone 3g sim card
gives you unlimited connection for a year?
DO I have to top up the card again in order to connect to the
internet?
I am using a 3G iphone sim card. Is there another iphone sim card specific that
I have to use with my usb modem?
I would apreciate you help.
Thank you very much in advance.0 -

The 12 months of unlimited surfing is only for when you surf with the iPhone.
So, one way or another, you have been billed for surfing via the iPhone (tethering or with a USB modem) as opposed to with the iPhone.
I'm sure if you can prove to O2 that you were surfing with the iPhone they will effect a refund.0 -

Are you sure?. It should be also for surfing with laptop using a 3 usb modem. However, I found out that I have the wrong sim card. I need a mobile 3G sim broadband card. The will send me one within 3 days. Then I need to activative is a top up with £10 plug is in the 3 usb modem and then I should have unlimited access for a year.I think this is the way how is work.

o2 have now got wise to this and seem to cancel the free surfing pretty quickly when not used in an iPhone.====0 -
The iPhone SIM is 3G....oh never mind... you seem to know it better..... but don't be shocked when you find that these are the tariffs available to you.
Are you even sure that you had an iPhone SIM in the first place?"The 12 months of unlimited surfing is only for when you surf with the iPhone."

I check the sim card.
It says: O2 3G sim card but is does not say anything about Iphone, neither the envelope and the additional card to top it up.
Does it mean that it is a normal sim card?:(:(0 -

On the sealed envelope that an iPhone only Sim arrives are the words;
Pay and Go Sim exclusively for iPhone 3G.0 -
The envelope says:" Pay As You Go , O2 3G card"
Maybe it is just a normal sim card.
I have a question:
Does this unlimited wifi work also if we use an O2 mobile broadband sim card Pay as you go? I mean the sim that is used for an usb modem.

Portugal has reliable and fast 3G internet access. 12 days payg access costs €10 on any of the networks. Handy if you're on holiday.
You can buy the appropriate 3G sim at any of the Portuguese phone stores: all you need to do is slip it into the free (now unlocked) dongle you got months ago, which is now lying in the drawer somewhere!!RIP independent MSE.
