Diversity were my choice from the first time I saw them but I didn't think they'd win. Wish I'd had a tenner on them though - apparently they were 20/1!0 -
Hi girls
Just catching up after being away on the hen night. Had a fab time, made it til midnight :T then sloped off to bed. We were at a hotel for a ladies night complete with 3 course meal, drag artist and 3 full-monty strippers
Was sharing with the hen, so she came in at 2am and managed to get herself safely to bed with minimal supervision. Other than trying to go out of the window to get to the bathroom (!) it was a fairly uneventful night. We were both up at just gone 7 (shame about the lie-in I was hoping for) but at least she made me a coffee in bed.
Imogen's meant to be napping but is faffing about. DH has been upstairs a few times in the last 30 mins. I've just come in from the garden so went when she said she needed a poo. It was just a ploy as it turned out:mad: I asked her why she wasn't asleep and she said:
"Well, it wasn't the Toucans, or the rhinocerouses - because they aren't in my room. And there wasn't a storm either."
"So is that why you weren't asleep? Because there were no toucans, rhinos or storms?"
"Yes." :rotfl:hungrynurse wrote: »can anybody recommend a good priced pushchair, only needed for 1year old + currently. The problem is we do a lot of walking mainly on road (up& down curb) and across the rugby field on dog walks. Our graco tour deluxe has just broken just after guarantee, so would rather get one recommended which will stand the pressure!
On prams, we have an M&P Luna which I absolutely adore. We paid less than £100 from the outlet store just before they re-designed them. Not sure how much they are full price. I has suspension, is suitable from birth but still more than big enough for our tall 2-yr old, and folds flat (rather than umbrella style) so it fits in the boot of my fiesta without any problems at all. TBH we'd still be using it if we didn't have another on the way and I intend going back to it as soon as Imogen can walk all of the way to and from the park (about 3 miles round trip.) HTH?
I haven't had anything from Emma Jane and was going to ask - haven't quite caught up properly but guessing no one else has had anything?
Elle - sending best wishes to you, Craig and little Rhys. Really hope things improve for you.
I voted for Diversity (not very MSE but I thought they deserved it). :T
Mel - have you tried upping the amount in the bottles if he's draining it? I guess it isn't so much about how many bottles he has but the total amount he's getting. Silly HV! Your only other option is a dream feed, but don't know why you'd do that when he's sleeping so well?
Oh, and we fit the blackout blind from the nursery in Imogen's room and she's since slept until 7.15am on Sat and 8.15 this am :T:T Have the local blinds company coming round on Friday to quote as I'd prefer something that looked prettier, but am pleased it's making a difference. We mounted it on the outside of the window aperture and, combined with the blackout linings on the curtains, it seems to be doing the trick :TMSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Morning all.
Had a busy few days here, so might catch up, but probably not! Thursday we went to the In laws, as Izzy's nephew was up visiting, and wanted to take Izzy to the hospital where Granny works to introduce her friends to his new cousin.
Friday we went to visit my friend and her 2 little girls in the morning - the girls are 2 and 5, so it gave me a glimpse of our future - very noisy!!! Then we went up to the inlaws again in the afternoon for a swimming trip, and a BBQ in the evening too.
Then yesterday we went to my cousin's wedding, and had a lovely time there tooIzzy is very sociable, so had lots of fun meeting all my cousing and aunties and uncles, and she posed for lots of pictures
She let us stay out until 9pm, then because she had a feed when we got back, she slept through till nearly 6am too. (Unfortunately I woke up at 3 thinking she would be awake soon, and didn't manage to get back to sleep properly;) ) Then had a feed, and slept for another hour.
Today we can have a more relaxing day - watching big cook little cook at the moment, but i'm hoping for an afternoon nap shortly with any luck!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Afternoon folks
Have a spare 5 mins with empty arms... It doesn't seem to happen much just recently! Thank you all for your congrats, Caitlyn is absolutely adorable... Seems to be settling in OK... Although it's not been a normal week so far with all the visitors we've had... She's a lot like her older sister... She doesn't seem to appreciate a good nights sleep... Although she's not been consistent in any of her waking to predict a pattern yet... So there's always hope when we go to bed... The midwife came today and did the nasty heel pr!ck test... Poor Caitlyn has quick clotting blood apparently so she ended up being stabbed twice... And the first circle of blood on the card is a bit iffy so we're really hoping it doesn't have to be repeated! That's it now for visits until Friday though... The midwife thinks I'm sensible enough to be left alone for another 5 days... Don't know where she got that impression from!!
Anyway, my lovely husband is in the garden doing what men like to do best... Making fire... Aimee's getting my £2.50s worth out of the paddling pool I got her yesterday and I'm just about to go and pop Caitlyn in the moses in the shade and hope she sleeps long enough to get a burger down my neck...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hi guys, I'm doing ok now, had a chat with OH and we are sorting through things, he just said it as a reaction to a bit or a disagreement we had, if i'm tottally honest i've been a right moody, moany bint the last week so i'm not surprised i hacked him off although I've told him to next time just tell me rather than us go through all that.
Ryan is thriving, got his 6-8 week check on thursday, so will see how much he's grown, alot i guess, he's soooooo heavy!
He managed 6 hours between feeds last night, which was great! he's always tucked up in bed by about 7-7.30pm and up about 6-6.30am.
I feel so blessed coz he really is such a darling, he is so content, is smiling lots and cooing loads, OH's mum even said it's like he's copying me when i talk to him.
Must get some more pics up, he's so adorable, his cheeks are like hamsters cheeks filled with food :rotfl::j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Benjamin is not liking this heat one little bit
poor little lamb.
MIL came and sat with him last night whilst we went out for a few drinks and a curry - note to self, can't drink on an empty stomach any more!! Benjamin had been doing his usual trick of falling asleep and then waking as soon as you put him down with a big gummy smile
So he went to sleep at about 11.30pm and slept through til 7.30am...although I was awake at his usual 5.30 . He went back down for about an hour (usually 2 or 3!) then hubby took him downstairs so I could get a lie-in :T It really is the little things in life that make it all worth while!!
