pattern/tutorial pleeeeeeeease?! x
Ok, what I did - measured the length I wanted to cover (I already had one bumper, so I measured the bit left on each side and the width at the bottom of the crib) and the height of the crib sides. Measure and cut fabric to the right length plus an inch or so seam allowance and the width should be double the height plus an inch or so.
Measure some fleecy padding stuff to be the length times the height (you don't need to double it!) with a little bit of seam allowance.
Fold the fabric in half so the right side (the side you want showing at the end!) is on the inside and line up the padding with it too - pin together. Work out where you want to put the ribbons to hold it on (ie work out where the corners will be, and decide how many extra fasteners you want down each side). Put the ribbon INSIDE the folded fabric with just a little bit sticking through where you are going to sew. (That is the bit i got wrong and I had to unpick and start again!)
Sew along one short side and all along the long side.
Turn the right way round and pin the last seam down the other short side - you will probably have to stich this bit by hand.
I made ours out of yellow fuzzy felt and completely overestimated the amount I would need - when Izzy gets bigger up all her fancy dress costumes will include bright yellow fuzzy felt until it is all used up. If she doesn't go to enough facy dress parties guess what her wedding dress will be made ofMy_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »:mad::mad:
I am so fed up of cars that park on the pavement.
I swear I am going to make some signs up that sayI CANNOT PASS YOUR CAR WITH MY BUGGY
YOU ARE PUTTING MY CHILD AT RISK BY MAKING US WALK ON THE ROAD
NEXT TIME I WILL SQUEEZE PAST AND SCRATCH YOUR CAR

If I print if off on a big sticker and stick it on their windscreen do you think that they will get the message?
If you could get them printed up you could probably sell then for a nice profit. That and some about not parking in parent and child spaces unless you a) have a child with you and b) that child actually needs help getting in and out of the car :mad::mad:.Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Decided myself - told my GP I was going to and he didn't have any objections (that was 17th June - doc said I'd be okay after a month). The midwives said I could drive when my insurance company said I could, and my insurance company didn't want to know!0 -
Ohhh I just realised something spooky !!
You started to drive on Dylans birthday and Rhys came home on my OHs birthday !!! Thats weird
I feel fine other than the odd cramp in my side, so I think I might just jump in he car this weekend and see how I go !!The two best things I have done with my life

Well, I have been driving today
I only drove to my mum's which is 5 mins round the corner, but I did practise an emergency stop first and it felt fine. I didnt check with Dr's or insurance company. Its been so long since I have been able to drive, almost 4 months and I needed my independance back.0 -

Huge hugs, AM!
Yes, you will be okay, you'll no doubt be grand and continue being an awesome mum..(but does it have to be that way, definitely?)
Little ones are probably picking up how you feel.. pile all your hugs on them - even little Rhys is remarkably resilient to being squeezed tight0
