LOL OH giving his mother the cold shoulder was so funny.. He let her in and made her a coffee but she didn't stay long. This is the same woman who didn't visit Rhys for the last three weeks he was in hospital on the grounds of "well, he's not in danger anymore". Asked stupid questions like "Do you still tube feed him?" (no, the tube is just there for decoration!) and "Haven't you put him on formula yet?" (yes, I just like leaving the breastpump out as a design feature of my new living room!).
There is no talking to her.. she just does what she wants. Very ignorant and I know she will completely ignore whatever we say when it comes to looking after Rhys. We do things the way we do because he's poorly and needs everything to be like this, not because we just fancy doing it this way and it's up for discussion! I dread the day she looks after him..0 -

Elle, at least you know if she couldn't be bothered to visit in hospital she probably won't visit much now he's home... I know how annoyed you are, I purposely didn't tell my sister Caitlyn was born because she has this annoying habit of dashing round to be the first... She did it when my Dad was in hospital with meningitis last year, she made a big show of being the first to visit him and went and breathed her cold all over him, like he needed it! Once she's got that first visit out the way you don't see her again unless she wants something...
Ladybird, I actually have 2 bumbers for the crib so could probably tie the other one round, trouble is she's a proper nosey parker and I think the reason she doesn't like the moses downstairs or the pram is because she can't see out of them but she's completely happy in the crib and will settle herself to sleep as long as she's not hungry... I could always try popping it on 3 sides and then tying the side she looks out of after she's dropped off I suppose...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

No, hopefully not
My Mum is going to do the babysitting when we need it and when (if?) I go back to work. Neither of our mums work but for mine it's a choice and for MIL it's because she was made redundant so she's really supposed to be looking for a job. I keep saying to my mum that anytime she can't look after Rhys, I'll just have a "headache" and not go out!
Oh, the other pearler she came out with.. "Do you throw him up in the air yet?" - err, no.. he has a brain injury and fluid in there that shouldn't be, let's not make things worse, shall we? [although he appears fine, btw]0 -
I normally take her for a walk with the dog after lunch and then she has an afternoon nap. She's difficult to get down for a nap without the walk. I know she's infectious, but will we be ok out walking? Most of the time we don't see anyone else, but if we do bump into anyone we stop and chat to, I will say we're not stopping to chat today!I can stay in my PJs all day, can't I? I bought new nice ones especially for when the nurses visitRhys' fav place is asleep lying on my/OH's chest. Are slings okay for really little ones (now 5lb 5oz) or should I wait a while before trying him in it? We have a ring sling but am not adverse to seeking out a bargain on another type - ring one was £7 second hand but barely usedSignature removed for peace of mind0

Ooh MFD me too, I had a go at a fella who had parked his BMW (Break My Windows) on the pavement outside a warehouse at the top of my street and was stood at the back with the boot open talking to his mate across the road.
He parks there 2 or 3 times a week (I think he's a rep) but since I 'spoke' to him he is parking it properly on the side of the other side of the road!MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740
