    That's rude!!!

I have just scared the life out of Benjamin (who is currently feeding) - I was web conferencing yesterday and had left the volume on the lappy really loud - he nearly jumped off my lap! He even let go of the boobie for a second

Yes, Melissa is meeeeeeee....I hated my name when I was younger, doesn't really bother me now, you are who you are:)

I was like that when I was younger, I used to wonder why my mum had called me Nichola. I like it now though! Hope my kids like the names we chose for them when they are older!

fritha I'm a bit confused about what a joey is now! do they not do the same thing? :o:D

Sorry, technically yes, they transport the child without the need for a pram but they're also different. A joey is a mei tai, whereas a bit of material would be a wrap. Different people like different things and some of us get addicted and have different ones for different occasions/outfits/moods/weather/time of day... :o

Not sure if that answers your question as I wasn't sure how much you already knew, if you need to know more just shout!

  • I put Ryans in engage mutual, simply because i'ts the same one Astons is in, on the plus side I should soon be receiving £50 from quidco for putting it in there.

I put Poppy's into Engage using Quidco too in December 2007 and they eventually paid the £50 in March 2009! :rotfl:

They also sent me Boots vouchers for setting up a DD (which I later reduced :o).

Still undecided whether to put Jamie's there too  but probably will for the £50! :D

well done moneymaker :T:T:T:T:T I bet you feel all......... cleansed and new!? :)

:o:o not done anyfink with mine! Not like me to miss a trick financially, but I get a bit fuzzled about all the baby finance things, Felt some tears sting in my eyes when on the phone to CTC the other day (not sure if I should admit this, please be nice to me!) But you know they operate off this script they can't deviate from? Well the script question made no sense to me! I hadn't recieved any info about my claim so I called to chase... answered the first few questions fine, NI number, Ferg's birth date etc, then they said 'is there a child included in the award?' Erm.... 'd'you mean am I claiming because I've had a child?' slightly angry sounding repetition of the meaningless question.... Weezl feels like crying. In the end I just plumped for 'Yes' :o:o:o
    That's the most non-sensical question ever!

we put ours (sorry - Annabel's) into an ethical fund with these people http://www.familyinvestments.co.uk/ctfethicalfund.aspx It was my hubbie's choice I have to confess I only filled in the form! We aren't adding to it though as I have no way of telling how responsible she'll be when she's 18. If she's like me it'll be fine, if she's like her dad was then there's no hope!!! so we've also opened a seperate account so we can decide when she gets it and if we ever tell her about it (I don't like the idea of children having a trust fund expectation)
I was told to not bother paying into it as the interest rate is so pants on them, you're much better opening a seperate savings account :)
I'm wondering about Toby. When he is fed lying down, he gets really restless. In the mornings especially, he wimpers and waves his arms and legs about, and often wretches a bit. He is fine as soon as I sit him up though. I can't tell if it is displeasure at having to be led in bed quietly while I sleep, or if he is in pain/uncomfortable. He is usually okay in the middle of the night, its mainly the morning feeds where he has to gulp down a lot, and chokes and splutters.

Do you think I should try block feeding?
Sounds like he's just getting lots of windy pops from the gulps, possibly best to do that particular feed sat up if he's more comfortable :)
Hope this afternoon's app goes well xx

I'm the youngest of 3 girls and would tell my Mum that she must like my name the least! :rotfl:

The only person, apart from official folk, to call me by my full name is DH.

I'm trying to buy Izzy some 6-9 month long sleeved bodysuits. No-one seems to do them though. You can get single ones for a tenner each, but they can go take a flying leap! Any ideas?
Asda and Tesco definitely do them but as you guessed they tend to only do them in winter so through the summer there are random ones in store but it's hit n miss if/when you get the right ones, have you tried M&S they're not usually as pricey as mothercare and IMHO worth the extra pennies for the quality :)

I want Fergus as a FB friend!! :D
