Been absent for three days thanks to pc crashing all the time:mad: but hopefully working ok now. Have lots of diaries to catch up on but no time just now as have things to get ready for tomorrow so will hopefully catch up with you all tomorrow evening.
Just scraped by on my NSD challenge:j. Still haven't got anything on ebay thanks to pc probs. Will aim for 5 things by thursday. Not a lot but I've only ever sold one thing before. Spent a lot of time in the garden this weekend although fell out with DH yesterday, over where to put some things, so he went off to work early in a huff. Turned out to be a good thing though as he earned £40 in the extra hour and a half he did:rotfl:.
Kids off school till Wed so will get an extra half hour in bed tomorrow:j.
night all

:mad::mad::mad::mad: I so hate this computer just now:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:.
I was hating it last night as it took over an hour and a half to open three web pages so I gave up but now it has just deleted the lovely long post I was in the middle of writing:mad::mad::mad:.
I won't retype it all as it was probably a lot of waffling anyway. Suffice to say not a lot has been done here at all debtbusting wise although I did refrain from going to the car boot sale on Sunday and claimed just over £30 of expenses on Friday.
Could I borrow £2million from someone? I've seen a gorgeous house up north and you would be more than welcome to come and use the pool anytime.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Hi SM,
It's such a pain when your computer goes phut!
Small boy turned 16 last week and tops 5'10"...still as daft as a brush.
Your Quidco haul is impressive. I've just found it and now check everything, I love the idea of getting exactly what you want AND getting paid for it. Lovely.
I'm actually enjoying this MSE lark, is that sad?:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Nah - not sad at all, I suspect most on here who fancy being honest would say the same kissjen!
Boo to computer problems - nightmare isn't it. Hope you get it sorted out soon SM - maybe try a full anti-spyware and antivirus check?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Nice to dream, hope the computer behaves itself for you.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Have finally got computer sorted - turns out I had two anti-viruses running at the same time slowing everything waaaaaayyyy down.
Spent two hours catching up on some of the diaries, have about three or four others still to read but getting late and wanted to update my own before going to bed.
Bad points this last wee while is I have worked out May cost us an extra £1000 overspend:eek: due to washing machine, car MOT, tyres and a couple of other things. DH went over the limit on our bank account on Friday by £5 as our bank is not a 'Link' bank so the cashmachine was not up to date with our account and allowed him to take out more money than there was. I phoned the bank to query why he was able to take out the money and that was their explanation. I asked if the charge could be cancelled as an honest error on our part but they said no so that will be £25 mid July. Never mind I'll get it back off them when we can claim them back.
Good points this week - I phoned British Gas as we were in credit to them and will be getting £180 back into the bank account next week:j. £2 coin jar now has enough in it to pay for our ferry to Mull:j and am on target so far on my NSD's. Put in a claim for 23 extra hours in May to be paid this month and will have done almost 32 extra hours this month for payment in July. Quidco is currently tracking £77 with a further £55 to validate but that won't validate until first direct debit taken apparently.
Gone a bit smiley daft today but why not.:p
Out all day tomorrow but i will be back! The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Hope you had a grand day out.
We all love Mull but not Skye...can someone explain that please?
I quite fancy upping sticks and moving to Iona...just so quiet and peaceful. Would suit me down to the ground. Maybe one day - I'll ask EH if she can drop me off on her way to the very very very north :rotfl:That would be very MSE, all of us in one huge artic dropping off at the various islands as we go.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Hi SM - wondered where you'd got to, glad your 'puter problems are sorted now. Well done on the ferry money too - you'll be on your way before you know it now.
Might be worth putting a request in writing to the bank.....it's easier in some ways for them to say no on the phone as to all intents and purposes that doesn't go on record anywhere......for the sake of a stamp - 2nd class of course - it might be worth a try.
Kissjen - good plan on the artic - I think we have a plan!! :rotfl: As for the Mull -v- Skye thing - all the islands have really different personalities - we love the Uists and Harris but don't like Lewis much at all.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

It was work unfortunately but it is the one day I can actually claim expenses for so every little helps.
I am with you on the Mull/Skye thing. I can tolerate skye and there is one beach at the very north (Coral Beach) which you have to walk forever to get to that i love. It is white from all the tiny bits of coral and we go shell hunting - found hundreds of cowries and the tiny pointy ones which I don't have a clue what they are called there. If that beach could be moved to Mull it would be perfect. Think I spent too many wet rainy summer holidays there as a child as it was the one ferry dad was happy to spend the money to go on and that might be why I am not so keen on it now. Mull on the other hand IS perfect. We try and camp at Calgary but if that is chocka we go down to Fionnport. Basically camping on the beach. Calmac do a discounted five day return to there which, although I love camping, five days in a row is enough at a time so it works out really well. Give me a weekend at home then I could quite easily go back for another five days.:D
Off to find a piccie of the view from our tent last time we were there and changing it for my avatar. The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.
