  • You should try couches SM, very lucrative for the odd 5p.

every penny counts. I am actually doing overtime tomorrow and sunday for that very reason.

Any idea what Gauldry is like??? We have seen a house for sale over there but not sure what it is like over there

    The more the merrier 40SM.

LP DH used to work with a guy who lives in Gauldry. Nice quiet place with a pub straight across the road from the primary school. Been in the pub once, pleasant enough. DH says he has never heard a bad word said about Gauldry although it is apparently where they used to hang people:eek:. You'll have the option of getting to Perth either via Dundee or along the Newburgh road - nice road for Sunday drivers looking out across the tay over to the Carse of Gowrie.

Well the car hasn't come out of the garage yet which isn't a good sign, although it was sat out on the road still when I went to work Friday lunchtime so they didn't get started on it until the afternoon.

Looks like I'll get about 20 extra hours at work for both June and July. Not enough to take me into overtime rates but mustn't grumble. Pay day next week and there should be about £100 extra in there for last month.

The plan for this afternoon is to plant some more veg seeds. The carrots planted 4 weeks ago need thinning out as does some of the lettuce so will catch up with a couple more diaries then head back out.

It all counts SM and you must be chuffed at the inroads you are making into everything.

I got some free lettuce seeds yesterday, nomnom.

DD got some free seeds from CBeebies I think it was so i have helped her sow a row of carrots, a row of beetroot and two rows of lolla rossa. It is too late to try the tomatoes and we don't have a big enough area prepared for the squash but the seeds should be okay until next year. The cut and come again lettuces that I have been eating for the last couple of weeks have gone to seed already so might compost them and plant somemore but that will have to wait until Tuesday now as out all day tomorrow. Did quite a bit of weeding and now my fingers have ingrained dirt in them - can't stand gloves, never wear them even when I probably should.

DH got home at 5.30am today only to find DS already up watching telly!!! At least he didn't wake DD up as that would only have resulted in fighting.

Going to have a fruit only day tomorrow as have eaten a lot of carp this weekend. Mainly due to not being able to get to a decent shop with having no car. From here to get to somewhere like a tesco or Asda would involve 3 buses each way at a cost of something like £8.10. Or one bus in the opposite direction at a cost of £4.80 each way. Not having a car is proving to be a nightmare. How people can cope without one I don't know. Certainly no way we could go longer than a few days with the way the bus service here is. With me getting the bus just now for work if I miss the one at 6.25 to get home I have to wait until 7.55 for the next one and a journey that takes 25-30mins by car takes an hour and 20mins by bus:eek::mad::eek::mad:. And that is the last one direct. After that I would have to take 3 different buses in order to get home possibly by the back of 10.00pm:eek:.

What a nightmare with the car. I hate it with we lose ours. Will you get it back Monday?

Great job with the seeds. Small boy mowed the lawn and husky unimpressed that natural stalking cover (it was like a documentary about bad neighbours and flytipping) has gone. Theres a fox comes into the park next to our house most nights and she likes to get dolled up to see him. It's call of the wild round here.

I miss living like that. We have a flat and only a small terrace area so no option for a nice garden. I do grow strawberrys in planters tho.
