Hi Pegase,
The £0.11 (inc. VAT) per text message charge would be applicable to those sent to UK mobiles either in UK or within the country you're visiting.
The £0.24 (inc. VAT) rate applies to text messages sent to non UK mobiles.
Should you wish for me to take a look at your bill to make sure everything is okay just email your details to me using the 'Contact us' form on our website here.
When sending the email you'll also need to include a link to this thread within the body of it and state the code WRT135 in the subject line.
Thanks,
Lee

Hi Please help I have had 6 different answer to this from 6 different Vodaphone people!!
My son is in Hungary until Nov - he has a Voda pay n Go, with Passport and International, also friends and family.
Now the roaming deal has finished what do calls cost him to make and what do they cost him to receieve.... does friends pack work if we call him - as its still a UK phone number?? Ive had various answers ranging from 75p connection then free for 60mins to 75p connection then 77p per min????
Can someone please help as the promo finished today and he is scared to call anyone and I dont want to ring him incase he gets charged silly rates. I have found a provider over here with lower rates to call him on mobile and landline - but what does it cost him thats where the answers keep changing -
Also - what will texts cost him to send and receieve
Thanks
Hi Jenifr,
Apologies for missing this one yesterday.
To clear things up for you and your son he'll be charged as follows while he's in Hungary:
Calling back to the UK and within Hungary will be £0.75 connection fee plus his home rate (£0.20 per minute if he's one Vodafone Simply).
Calling any other country will be £0.38 per minute.
Receiving a call will be £0.75 connection fee with the duration of the call being free for upto 60 minutes and then £0.20 per minute.
Sending a text message will be £0.11 per text message and it's free to receive.
To benefit from Vodafone Family you'll be able to phone him and have the call qualify for Family when he receives it he'll be as normal of confirmed above.
If you have any other roaming queries you'll be able to get lots of information in the roaming section of our website here.Just got my bill today.....used it in Norway......no extra charges so thanks Vodafone.
You're welcome Froggitt.
Hope you had a great time in Norway.
All the best.

I'm a Vodafone customer and have just gone through my bill for August. I was in Romania for half the month. Before going, I called 191 and confirmed that I had Passport and that calls and texts were included in the promotion.
Yet somehow there's £4 extra for calls and £18 extra for messages.
All my calls and texts to UK-registered mobiles that were in Romania too were free. However, some of my calls and texts to Romanian mobiles were free while some were charged.
I called 191 and a rep refunded the calls charge but haughtily insisted that texts were not a part of the summer promotion. Vodafone's official press release* says they were & many articles on the promotion state that it includes calls and texts both to the UK and within the country you're visiting.- Do I have to write to Vodafone with my evidence?
- Would it be more effective to publicly blog this?
- If randomly charging constitutes breach of contract by Vodafone, what can I do now?
So not the drama.0 -
I used my vodaphone PAYG mobile while in mallorca and dublin this summer and was only charged what I would have been had I been in the UK.
Texts were still 10p only made one call and that seemed inexpensive.
If you have been refunded what is the problem?0 -

I am very confused by vodafones pricing policy with regard to passport and friends and family - I understood that if I signed up to passport on my payg I could make and recieve calls from mallorca to my son and daughter who are part of my friends and family group for just the 75p fixed charge but this appears not to be the case when I asked how I had used up £12 credit on a 5 minute call to a uk landline and 2 calls to members of my friends and family group lasting 20 mins and 12 minutes - they also called me whilst in mallorca and were not charged ? VERY CONFUSED !!!!!!!0

Hi There
Ron Stoppable - Unexpected bills are never nice to receive.
I can look into for you if you send me an email from here with a link to this thread and your username. In the subject line make sure you include the code WRT135 so that your email comes straight to my team. I'm sure we can get to the bottom of this.
ezglide1450 - The Vodafone Family service doesn't work when you are romaing. This means that should you make a call back home while travelling you would be charged 75p to make the connection and then be charged as you would be for a call outside of your group.
The person you are calling in your group that is in the UK would receive no extra charges for receiving your call and would be able to call you and not be charged as they are not roaming.
All the best
