    From SelectSpecs:

" we can assure you we have not received this parcel, sorry you would need to speak to Royal Mail to resolve this issue as this was not sent by us"

I have again asked them to call their local sorting office or give me the name so I can call them. Unlikely to have got lost though.

Anyone else returning stuff to them, please use special or recorded delivery!

Were the nose pads a soft bendy silicon or harder plastic?

Sorry to hear this but we do state with returns that we cannot be held responsible for items lost in the post, it is down to the sender to make sure the item is securely packaged and sent by a recorded method.

    Kind regards,

I would say they were quite bendy plastic but I'm not sure if they were silicon which I think is quite inert.

The smell seemed to be worse after wearing them for an hour or two so it's could be temperature or perhaps an interaction with the skin on the nose.

    James,

I'm not going to shed tears over the loss of the specs, however I have shed tears due to the plastic on the nose supports and I would like you to investigate this with your supplier of these particular specs. You have the original order details and so you should be able to find the original supplier.

My main concern is for others who may suffer the same problem.
  • Just recieved two pairs of specs from Select Specs to replace the ones I ordered in 2009. For the money I think they are great, £10 + P&P for the two you can't go wrong.
I am terrible with glasses and am always sitting on them or mislaying them so no point in spending £100 plus at high st store.
Will get another couple of pairs next year after having a free eye test at Tescos, if they are still doing the offer.
