Can you challenge a rejection from student finance or is it final?

Depends on why they rejected you. They generally won't review their decision unless you provide them with new information. For instance my initial application in 2008 was rejected for the tuition fee loan because I'd had funding before but that was reviewed and overturned once they'd received my medical notes confirming I'd dropped out previously due to extenuating circumstances.
(I did send the information when I sent my application but application was done online and the medical info was sent via post so they'd assessed the online application and sent me my 'final' notification before they got my medical notes then reviewed their decision).

You can appeal if you have new information. But based on what you've said in that thread, you are not eligible.

Even if i provided bank statements with proof that i had a credit and debit account in the UK for the years while i was away? Would this be in my favour of being ordinarily resident?

You're welcome to put that to them for decision. However, I'd say no.

    Hello!
Does anyone know how long it takes usually for your account to be updated after student finance receive your parent's financial details form that they had to fill in?

And I need to send my birth certificate. Should I send this recorded to reduce the chance of it getting lost?

Definitely send your birth certificate recorded delivery - makes certain you know they've received it. Did your parents send their details by paper or online?

Have you had jobs over the past 3 years or living on scraps or what?

Statement of Earnings is like a P60. Your company just gives a record of what you have earnt.

They need to see you have been supporting yourself, so how have you been doing it?
