Oh God, just had to make my son's lunch - sausages, mash, veg and onion gravy and want to eat so much. I couldn't ask my other half to do it as he is also doing CD and made the boys lunch yesterday so it was my turn today. Its so hard to cook for other people and not be able to eat yourself!

Problem is that I like most food, as does Joshua! Have decided to give him school dinners this week though so I don't have to cook for him in the evening and he can just have a sandwich in the evening so I won't be as tempted.

Am desperate for weigh in to prove to me that the diet is working again, I'm sure it must be but I don't feel any slimmer yet and although I'm in ketosis I still feel hungry! I'm hoping that a good loss will give me boost and stop thoughts of cheating!

How does everyone else stop themselves cheating?

Sorry its so late, My wireless connection is on the blink at home. Will have to get it sorted out.
I did have rather a lot of wine on Saturday:o, Well actually it wasn't as much as usual, but I do find I'm a cheap date on this diet. It dosent half go to your head quickly!!

Sort of lost the plot (Again:mad:) over the weekend.
But am right back on the plan now, with a vengence.
    6 weeks to my hols.

Hi Maria, welcome to the thread.
Errrm,, probably not the best person to advise on avoiding cheating;). I go for periods of wonderfulness, followed by eating and drinking everything in sight!

I am doing better though and getting back on track again, which is good, as usually I just give up and go back to my old ways.

This thread is very helpful, and has made the difference I think.

    hi peeps,

sue - not a happy face for me for yesterday please, sorry!! i was sabotaged by a fajita...

sorry to be a drama queen, but i have another conundrum... as some of you may know i am going to Leeds on the 20th for a weekend to meet some MSE chums and do my 10k runforall... should be great fun. Promise to be as good as i can be under the circumstances..

anyway, as you know i'm due to see new CDC on thursday and just don't really know whether to go or not.... finances are tight as hell and i want to have some cash to spend at Leeds (bringing Erin so for both of us) and i still have some packs to use up... and plus it might be more of a fresh start with the woman if i wait until my weekend away is out of the equation....

i don't want to muck her about but it does seem like 3 valid reasons to wait and restart on say 25th, when i will be back from Leeds so no distractions or reasons to cheat and i will have been paid again so can afford to buy a months supply..... plus should have used up the surplus by then, i hope!!

    Sound reasonable?

I find by monitoring my ketones it keeps me from cheating a bit, but i haven't been doing that lately hence poor performance lately...

i also find drinking water when you feel hungry or at least saying well i will drink this 500mls of water first and if i still feel like cheating then i will.... but often you've gone off it by then....

I also find chucking anything left on erin's plate very quickly in the direction of the dogs is a good incentive... as often your physical self can throw it away before your reasoning side of the brain kicks in to convince yourself you want to eat it....!

Keep busy, reading or sewing or ironing or anything rather than just sitting watching tv...

i am very good at giving out advice but not very good at taking it!

Join a weeklong challenge on here, and you get a happy clappy :T for every day you complete, and a :o for any bad days... it helps to need to report in here, encourages good behaviour! lol!

I think it sounds very reasonable Maz, you have been doing this for a long time now and a bit of a break may be just what you need to kick start your progress.

You should have enough packs to keep you going for most days, and treat yourself with a mini CD holiday at Leeds, you will have a few days to start easing back into it before the 25th then.

It is sooo restrictive this diet, which is good in many ways, but does make it hard going for the long term. It might be just what you need to get you back on track for that 10 and a half st.:D

i feel bad for it seems like i'm mucking this new woman about... but i think i need to just tread water for a while, keep CDing to maintain and maybe/hopefully lose a little between now and the end of the month...
and then have a kick aaass month or two to shift that last stone and a half....

i know it so makes sense!

Thanks Sue, you're the voice of reason as ever!

still lolling at your drunk posts the other night!
