Cambridge Diet part II

Hi all, Banbury, yes I have had success with this diet. At my very heaviest I was 10st 11lb and when you are only 4ft 11" that's pretty heavy!! I lost most of this three years ago on the diet, but then I moved counties and had to find a new counsellor.
I have never got down to my goal weight of 7st 10oz which is still 10lbs heavier than I used to be! I used to weigh 7st but I was a bit thin and also 10 years younger than I am now! I tend to get down to 8st then think I can loose the last 4lb myself and come off the diet. Of course, that never happens!! This time it is going to happen and I am not stopping until I am there.
I had my weigh in yesterday and I made a mistake last week, I was 8st 6lb not 8st 7lb!! I now weigh 8st 3lb so I lost 3lb last week which I am pleased about. If I can loose another 3lb this week that will take me back to what I was before Christmas. Crikey were all those G&T, brandy and cokes...baileys really worth it:eek: I would have been at my goal weight by now if I hadn't indulged over Christmas!! Oh well, I will get there very soon...................I hope:cool:0 -
Hi all,
I had my weigh in yesterday and had lost 2lbs - quiet happy with that but know that I have a long long way to go!
Today is a good day, almost drank 2 litres of water and not feeling to COLD for a change!
I find by breaking the Diet down in smaller chunks I can mentally cope with it! I look at it as I only have a stone to loose! (have to do this 6 times mind), So far I have lost a stone and a half so am only half a stone away from my traget weight, then i start on the next stone!
Chin Up!

Hi all,
I started the CD on 03/01/11 after years of 'trying' on my own.
I am on the 3 shakes and a meal plan and the first week went great
(12lbs off). This week though i'm not so sure. Aiming for 5 a week until the end of march to hit target of 12st (started at 17st) currently 16st 2.
Can anyone else who started at roughly my weight tell me how they have got on after week 10 -
Hi Banburybride - I too am looking forward to it .. gonna be nice to be slinky .. Made the decision to restart after trying to lose weight the "traditional way" but ended up losing nothing but morale (2 weeks of healthy eating and more exercise and I stayed the same - I have PCOS).. I know this works for me .. just have to stick with it .. take it one day at a time ..
I like the concept Sparkle .. one stone at a time .. do you have any (non-food) rewards planned to congratulate yourself? And well done on your 2lb loss.. thats great
Meggielo - I did the same thing .. didnt get to my goal weight .. started eating what I wanted without restriction and ended up putting on all I had lost .. but wont happen now, Im definately following this to the letter and going up the stages once Ive got to my goal weight and not before .. Not long to you are at goal .. you should be really chuffed with yourself0 -
Bigfattam - Youll soon be little skinny tam .. lol .. first two weeks lost round about a stone all together .. then between 3 and 5 pounds depending on water intake/exercise .. but dont start anything different to what you already do until you are over the first couple of weeks, then take it easy or you get very light-headed.. by 6 weeks had lost two and a half stone .. not bad really
.. Most seem to lose around the same .. more if they start out bigger (I was about 5 stone overweight when I started)
hth .. Kutiekat0 -
Oh sounds like there are a few of us all getting started!!
Bigfattam - well done - you must be super pleased!!
Sparkle I am going to take your one stone at a time concept too!
I have 6/7 stone to lose. I would like to aim to lose 5 stone by May 21st as I have my first wedding dress fitting then - do you think that is feasable? Then I would like to go on to lose another 1 by 1st July (My hen do!) and the final one by 10th Sept (my wedding day!!!)0 -
Sounds very feasible to me Banburybride .. Ive got to lose roughly the same amound within the same time frame (5 stone by end of May) .. Ill race you
..
Decided that should I be within half a stone of my goal by the begining of May .. Im going to go on a clothes shopping trip to somewhere like Bluewater as Ive never been .. will be great to have lots of bags of pretty, little clothes that fit me perfectly
Roll on friday ........... (next week) ....... Bring it on !!!!!!0 -
*amound .. lmao .. does seem like that look like Im 24 months pregnant at the mo ..
*amount0 -
Thank you Kutiekat and Banbury bride.
I thought the first week was going to be just water so expected a decent return for my £40 haha, so was well pleased.
I want to be realistic and aim for around 3lb-3.5lb (in my head i want 5 or 6lbs) a week but i just want it off quick , like we all do so i think i shall go for the 1 stone at a time method. Sounds like a few are going with it, every tool helps!!
I need time to get it in shape though once the weight goes as i am having a beach wedding in Mexico in October and dont fancy looking back at the flabby beach wedding picsSo set a Mid april target. Fingers crossed.
I know if i can keep taking an optimistic view like yourselves then i can do it.
As i am new to this any ideas to help along the way are very welcome so thank you everyone who posts on here. When people post their weight loss every week inspires the rest to keep going i think.
Good luck to everyone. Keep up the good work and you'll be there in no time !!0 -
