Hi Meg, Sparkle and Capp,
It is quite a shame that his thread has dried up, I have enjoyed reading it, and is partly the reason why I am going to be starting the CDiet.
I have done CD before but my heart wasn't really in it and it was a struggle to get to the CDC, however I have now found one that will come to me and she is booked in to come see me for my first appointment/weigh in on the 6th of December so I can start on the 7th. Your probably wondering why the wait, well I'm off on holiday on Friday for a week so theres no point starting till after that but I have made the appointment so i can start as soon as I get back.
What do you say that the 4 of us keep this old thread going
Talk soon

That would be great if we could keep this thread going. It may be really helpful to us whilst on the diet.
Today I started the CD again. My councellor is also coming to me with the diet this time around, as she has moved and it would take me over an hour to visit her on public transport. It was great to sit and have a natter though as I haven't seen her since April.
I weighed in today at 8st 8lbs, that means I've put on 8lbs since I last saw her. I know exactlt why I've put the weight back on. Feeling low, eating everything in sight! A bottle of wine every Friday night:eek: No more. I am staying on the diet for four weeks this side of Christmas and will go back on it the New Year if I am not 7st 10lbs. This is my goal weight that I never achieve as I find after six weeks on the diet I wander off it...until the next time!!!
The first week is very hard I have to admit, especially if you have to cook your families meals like I have to. Luckily I have alot of stamina when I am on the diet so I just turn a blind eye to the food:D It makes it easier too that I am a veggie and my family are not so I don;t eat what they eat anyway, unless we are all having a veggie meal.
Good luck on the diet Red:cool:0 -
Can I join too? I'm on week 3 of the CD.
So far I've lost
Week 1 = 15 lbs
Week 2 = 3 3/4 lbs
Starting weight 16 st 12 3/4 lbs - size 18, Current Weight 15 st 8 lbs - size 16, Target weight 9 st 7 lbs or a size 10.0 -
Wow, that is a fantastic weight loss. Well done:T You willl be at your goal weight in no time at this rate.
I am on day 2 and it is going okay. I am hungry yes, but I know it gets easier as the time goes on until, finally it just becomes a way of life and you don't miss food. Or at least thats how it works for me.I've spent most of my day in the toilet due to the amount of water I have been drinking:rotfl:0 -
Hi everbody although it looks like it is only me left in this thread:p I have completed my first week on the CD yesterday. I lost 3lb last week, which brings my total weight left to loose to 7lb. I can't wait for it to be over quite frankly. I am struggling like hell with the diet today and had some banana bread that I made for my kids...well, I chewed it then spat it out lol.
Anyone else struggling to stay on track? I'm not hungry just want to put nice things in my mouth LOL.0 -
I used to taste food as well
...but seriously stick at it, not a good time of year to do CD , I lost 42 lbs and 4 months on I've kept it off and lost a further 5 lb!:T0 -
Hi Nettie and Meg
Well done nettie, thats a fantastic lose.
Megs, sorry for leaving you on your own but I'm back off my holidays and raring to go, I have been on my holidays and had a fabulous time and yes, i'm slightly heavier than before I went and to be honest I'm already to go, I've eaten and drank enought to keep a bear going through the winter months....
My first appointment is tonight at 8pm, where I shall select my programme and get my packs, so day 1 is in the morning.
This time is a rubbish time of the year for any diet to start but a friend of mine said there is never a good time and there will always be a party and birthday a wedding a funeral - always an excuses to not do it or to put off or to give up or to fail but if in doubt look at all the days you have done and decided which is going to be harder, getting through 1 more day or going back to day 1......
I struggle with diets and I have no doubt I am going to struggle with this one but Ihave draw up a chart - well its more like a calendar, it has the next 4 months listed with weigh ins and how many days I am on, and yes I have given myself christmas day off and a couple of days off here and there, but there the days I can count down till and give myself a treat an who knows - it might not be food it might be a pair of shoes or jeans or something........
The idea being that as i cross the days off it, the further from that start i get the hard it will be to turn round.....
Also chewing food and spitting it out is a good strategy, because we actually miss not just the food but chewing - this is why they have bars - so we can chew......
Anyway sermon over lol
Have a good day and I'll report back later.......

Second post in a day.
Just a quick update, my consultant has been and she is lovely, she has also suggested that I go on the 810 diet as my bmi is only 26.1, which i am happy about, it does mean that all the preparing myself for no food at all hasnt gone to waste as it now seems slightly easier as i am allowed alittle bit of food, which i can use as a treat or something...
Well onto the morning and the start of day one
Night

Morning All,
Thought I'd just plod on in the hope someone might join me one day, lol
Anyway, todays very exciting menu is Chocolate Velvet for Breakfast (trying to drag this out till 10am, as this is my danger time at work - nibbles o'clock you see). Then we have tomato soup for lunch (something warm), a lump of chicken and a couple of veggies for my tea(this needs a little bit of work but I'll figure it out when I get to it) and finally, either a choc shake - or a choc shake turned to hot chocolate just before I go to bed.
Exciting stuff
